The tragedy of Dooku is almost as sad as the fall of Anakin Skywalker. If Dooku and Qui gon could have woke up the Jedi Council to their ignorance and fear, so much evil could have been averted. If Dooku had taken Yaddle up on her offer, the Sith could have been extinguished then and there. So many butterfly effects tied to one person.

4:09 - "The Jedi cannot help the slaves on Tatooine, but they can help the slave masters." That's a very valid criticism of the Jedi Council on Dooku's part. However, by choosing to become Sidious' useful idiot, he aligned himself with the very Evil that created slavery *in the first place.* So in the end he was no better than that which he professed to oppose.

He planned to take control from the inside. I'm sure he was plotting Defeating the master and usurping their position is a common sith theme. But palpatine was slippery and always 3 steps ahead . He played Vader this way while using him as a puppet until he could replace him Only Luke seeing his mechanical hand and how he was turning into Vader, rejected anger threw. away his saber. By refusing to kill Vader and replace him this messed with palpatines plans. The compassion Luke showed. Prompted Vader to turn back to the light and finish palpatine.

"it was this exact moment, where the Jedi decide to assassinate dooku, where they have gone beyond the point of no return". Nothing good comes from compromising in order to achieve victory. You are never fighting purely against flesh and blood. You are always combatting evil. When you choose to act in evil ways, you are letting the actual enemy inside the gates, giving them a seat at the table, and beginning to take their advice.

Much as it causes me real pain, credit must be given where due - _Tales of the Jedi_ is good to great. Why can't all Disney SW be like this? Dooku is certainly a much more morally complex character than Palpatine - who moves from spoiled rich kid to full on sociopath is one smooth leap. But he's still a villain. In many ways Herman Goering was an attractive personality. He still sold his soul to evil. Dooku ain't so different is he? A man who started off noble and quickly became one of the worst criminals ever seen; and the servant of criminal even greater than he was.

I really want there to be a "what if?" book series that goes over what events may have transpired had Qui-Gon not died. Dooku may have remained a Jedi, Anakin may not have fallen to the dark side; hell, they may have even discovered that Palpatine was Darth Sidious and stopped the Clone Wars (and thus Order 66) from happening. Once you learn more about the story beyond what you see at surface level in the movies, you really begin to learn just how pivotal Qui-Gon's death was to the fate of the galaxy, and just how many consequences can be tied back to it.

I can't be mad at dooku. He knew the jedi were boned, and he wanted to gain his own life like quigon. Super smart, and was honestly so much of a stright shooter that he literally told obiwan the literal game plan, but it reminds me of jack sparrow trying to take the ship in the first movie telling the guards im here to take this ship and go pillage my filthy black heart out. Obiwan shouldve atleast looked into this even if he wasn't sure of it being true, all he had to do was spy on the chancellor for a couple weeks.

I said Dooku went easy on Obi-Wan each time they fought. The first fight on Geonosis saw Dooku slice him to hinder him. I don't think Dooku was planning to kill him obviously. I think Dooku was contemplating as he twirled the blade before moving to come down on Kenobi but I do believe he would have stopped even if Anakin had blocked it. On the Invisible Hand, Dooku could have stabbed Kenobi in the chest or cut off his head when he broke his force shield and choked him mid air but he threw him and hindered him again. Dooku didn't try to kill him

I think his overall goal at least when starting the clone wars was to lead the Jedi on a new path where like you say separate from the republic. I think like Asohka, and Luke they saw the issues with the Jedi order of that time. Qui Gon probably saw the issues too which is why he never accepted a seat on the console I think Qui Gon like Dooku said is much wiser than him. The Jedi needed a new path, however he wanted to change it from the inside, Dooku from the outside.

The writers overlooked a remarkable chance by casting Mr. Lee as Dooku. Imagine if he portrayed a Sith capable of siphoning the life force from others like a vampire. This power could have been employed against Obi-Wan, offering a plausible explanation for his seemingly accelerated aging.

Inactivity could be days, years, or simply overnight if Niantic wanted to be really petty about it. There needs to be a clear definition to the conditions they set. I've invested a lot of time and money into the game and would hate to lose progress over a vague TOS rule. I'd like to take a break but what's the time-line?

The obvious pattern has always been that naturally gifted padawans with strong personalities that think independently never feel like the jedi has enough to offer them!! They tend to feel like they're "better" then what they are being taught and crave more which leads them to the dark side.. if the jedi were able to teach padawans ALL aspects of the force without fear or trepidation. They would mitigate these young gifted padwans from going down that dark path WHILE still being able to teach them WHY some of these powers are so dangerous rather then trying to hide them away and keep then secret!! There is nothing more tempting to a intelligent kid then "forbidden" knowledge!! By taking away the forbidden aspect and openly teaching these things in a controlled manner then much less students would end up falling into the laps of sith lords or teachers with ill intend or hidden agendas!! Just imagine If the council let anakin read thru whatever he wanted to try and aid padme, he would have learned that there isn't some grand hidden route to immortality..he would have been greatly dissapointed about the lack of any true way to "save padme" but he also wouldn't think the jedi were hiding some secret magical fix all ability either. If they told him "look man, this is all that we know that could possibly help padme..all this other stuff over there is some of the crazy sith beliefs but when u read them u will come to realize most of it is crazy bullshit at best, and witchy evil craziness at worst! Either way now u know!".. anakin would have had no reason to go to sidious at that point..its not even because anakin would think the sith could or couldn't help him, rather anakin wouldn't have felt betrayed like the jedi order was actively trying to prevent him from helping his fucking wife!! THAT WAS THE REAL ISSUE!! the mutual distrust between the council and anakin!! It wasn't even about "good guys and bad guy" or "which side is most beneficial".. it was more of a "these fucking ppl I gave my entire life to don't trust me! They are literally roadblocking me from even ATTEMPTING to find a way to save the person I love!! The only person who is even pretending to listen to me is palapatine!"...so by the time he decides to join sidious, it's because he already is emotionally disconnected from the jedi order and in his mind they are leaving him with absolutely ONE fucking option on the table!! He is literally choosing the only option he sees in front of him..he already knows the council won't help him, he knows they don't trust him, he literally has no reason to be loyal!! He always has been a person that is loyal to "people" anyways.. he is loyal to ashoka, loyal to obiwan ect.. if he had to make a choice in saving ashoka or obiwan or the jedi order as a whole, he wouldlnt think twice about saving the individual ppl he cares about over a order that has always looked at his ass sideways!!.. so my point is, it's not just anakin or dooku, it's everyone! The padwans are better off being taught the force as a whole!! No light side or darkside just simply "the force" which at its core is both light AND dark!! If things were done that way from the start and gave the padawans ALL the tools and the TRUST to let them use them as they see fit!! The order would be better off, BALANCED!! as all things should be!

Ive heard this guy explain dookus curved hilt a couple tjmes now and its clear he doesnt really know much about swordfighting or fencing, the single reason a curved hilt is used is for thrusting such as in fencing, all of the reasons yoda was mad still are basically the same though, as fencing and thrusting would have no other benifits aside from combating another lighrsaber wielder and as a thrust is almost strictly meant for killing, i can see why yoda and everyone else would be mad as in their eyes there arent any sith so why woukd you need to study to kill lightsaber wielders so hard and strictly, as the only other lightsaber wielders to them at this point were other jedi, and as everyone had already seen by this point dooku had a pention for unchecked passion and a willingness to duel and possibly even kill other jedi, so i can see why that chouce would raise suspicions... but the the point i was makjng is that the reason for a curved hilt is exclusively that it makes thrustjng as a fencer much easier and gives you more reach, nothing else and as simple as that

I'm sending you manly, sincere and non gay intended sympathy hugs. We had to stop the marathon after this episode when went thought it along with my beloved BF, may he rest in peace, cause I couldn't take it for a week. No spoilers intended. You think this is harsh and you hate Geoffrey Lannister? It gets deep dark into the hells deepest abyss WORSE. nevertheless here I am cause I admire you, Man. You are teaching your, Boy into a Men via Star Wars, and your Rebels reactions with him says a lot of how you are taking serious this job and your reaction to this one on GOT tells us why, how but most importantly that you indeed are doing the Homework. I'm a humble artist who happened to being asked to teach "theatre acting and arts appreciations" in a public school, both my area and my commitment to fulfill at least once in life at Public Service (this is my 6th public service paid with taxes tho, besides directing Mexican Christmas Plays at a Jail with a group of convicts who humbling granted me a scrambled eggs breakfast cooked by them as gratitude for my help and ears, and for a group of Juvenile Delinquency who was by entering the play being sent to a Juvenile Jail among other services). Dude, the apathy parents shows to what their kids watch, listen and read on both ways, the ones who are unrecognized Jewels and the ones who are exposing themselves to things that should at least be explained by an adult to them. Dude, I still rewatching the Red Wedding and thinking humans can be so much more cruel this can be actually a Fairy Tale. I decided not to have children, and my parenthood hurts my soul deep as I'm sure I did the right thing not bringing another life to this cause I would not have an honest logical way to explain this atrocities to a pure soul cause, but that's me being gay, dark skinned, infected with a virus of a pandemic no one cared enough about to yell for a cure as they did with covid before being old enough to vote or drink alcohol believing not everyone has to be a parent. You decided you are meant to and are being responsible for that decision. Courage Man, cause as I said this gets Insanely Forking Worse, but you have to continue and find a way to explain this in a way your Boy can learn to be a better man. At least you took the first step. You showed him you can cry and that's not bad and can be good. World needs parents like you who are attempting do things different, with a goal and best of intentions to keep up, and I'm here to tell you that as a hand extends a water bottle to the exhaust runner on a race. He needs you to don't give up. Fair enough, take a break. It might help you to rewatch the episode through one of those "Bar Reactions", repeat the experience along with others can be strangely satisfying for episodes like this when all you need is a bit of empathy to balance and maybe understand a bit better all that emotions tangled trying to come out and be expressed at same time that is so confussing and disorienting , something my therapist might be watching me with a clear face of "Really? Are you the one to give that advice? REALLY? but also is what I learn from one of my acting coaches who explained the difference of the "movie audience reaction" vs the "theatre audience reaction" and it's effect on both actors and audience. I had him to hold my hand and pamper my sobbing after this episode for at least half an hour and I'm the guy who cried loud in a full cinema with the sacrifice death at the end of Fast and Furious 5. And remember Professor Lupin's prescription for Harry after Dementors attack. Chocolate and your best memories. Sit to watch Legend of the Guardians with your son without videorecord the reaction, for your sake. That might act like a "Happy Memory" to complete the Patronus. You will need to be able to perform that Charm manytimes ahead.
