Insta360 offers more flexibility. If you are filming yourself, it's going to be challenging to get the right shots with a GoPro style kind of action camera. I also find that Insta360 cameras are more reliable. My GoPro Hero 10 has croaked on me so many times...

The cameras are positioned in a way that the stick is the only blind spot they have

The two lenses kind of overlap and then the software of the camera stitches the two images together so that whatever is right underneath the camera is invisible. In this case, the selfie stick. It's pretty nifty.
