Man I grew up playing roller hockey and rollerblading since I was 6 years old. I’ll never forget the first time I put my neighbors on I didn’t fall one time it felt so naturally. Then the same day they built a ramp and I started jumping. The next week I went out and got jr K2 aggressive in-line skates. Started hitting handrails when I was 10. Then moved to TRS’s then when I was 13 I got a pair of Remz and it was game over. We got a team together, got a local skateboard shop who sold rollerblading accessories, Grind plates n such, to sponsor us for the x games. They took rollerblading out the next year. I was heartbroken. Then rollerblading became less popular, we all graduated and started working full time and the team kind of disbanded. None of us talk to eachother anymore. My Remz ended up getting thrown out by accident during a move to a new home and now I can’t buy them anywhere. I wanna find a pair so bad and just go out and hit some stair gaps and handrails. I’m 36 years old now but I’m just as agile as I was 20 years ago. I live 30 minutes outside of Philly. I can’t believe they have that many rollerbladers in New York. It was the only thing I was ever good enough to go pro at. I get really nostalgic watching your videos. My girlfriend’s brothers wedding is in New York next week. Man I wish I had my skates I’d be tearing up the city like you. Much love sir. Watching your videos are bitter sweet because I have unconditional love for rollerbladers, but I’m sad that I don’t have mine..

3:40 still looks like a nice road around here. I wish our roads looked that nice. Interesting to hear your opinion about the wheels being wider on the edges. I have seen multiple videos of people using scooter wheels on their inline skates but never really heard their opinion on the differences. Other than them being wider than the normal wheels, they did not seem to effect your skating in any way. I liked watching you skate on the wet surfaces at the end. Great video as always.

As someone who is impressed with your skills, and who bikes through downtown streets, I have an honest question! How do you mitigate the risk of getting doored?!? Personally I am much more cautious, always giving parked cars a door width just in case. With cabs and other ride share vehicles everywhere you never know when someone might decide to get out. Has this ever happened to you?

it's easy with the proper tool. you just need a large socket, a washer, and a threaded rod. a sort of DIY bearing puller. bearings should be properly in place and how they are just held in loose in a plastic wheel is the improper clearance. it's actually ridiculous how you can just plop them out from "normal" wheels. i know this is the common practice but bearings can't really do their job properly if they're fitted like that, and can eat the material around them.
