In college back in 85’ I’ve always told my homies never be stagnant. Keep pushing forward and taking the next step in every facet of life. Now at 56 and about to retire in June, life about to turn up. In the meantime, I’ve been remarried for 5 yrs and have a 3yr old son. Became a professional photographer. Now it’s time for me to be home and show him the way to success , God is great and always give back.

This is a great topic that deserves further exploration. I tried starting my own business and had some success, but I made the mistake of trusting the wrong people resulting in financial loss. Now I am rebuilding. This often made me feel like I was falling behind, creating anxiety and depression. After serious, self reflection, and looking within,I found the realization that it’s OK to make mistakes. Most importantly, men don’t fail they stop trying. Great advice, OG. Advice for younger people: A good way to assess whether you're behind or not is to notice how random people treat you. If they treat you respectfully, you're probably doing well at life. Also, if coworkers routinely ask for your advice, you're probably doing well, as your peers respect your judgment. Lastly, if you live a life other people envy, you're probably doing well.

😅 I'm an artist. I didn't go the often chosen path. Creating art is my true passion and purpose. I honestly don't fit into societal norms, but i still want to ensure I'm good for the future. I'm seriously considering becoming an art teacher as a sustainable income. I chose not to label myself as behind. I'm blooming late. 🎉

By who's standards is "behind"... You only "fall behind" in someone else's eyes... but guess what? We each have our own path to carve, in our own time. Focus on yourself, always focus on getting better and stop comparing yourself to the next one. That's how you know you'll not fall behind.
