They traveled days then he realized at some point they were in Ukraine and they realized they were in a war. They wanted to leave but we're threatened with death if they tried. He was one of the lucky ones who is captured but alive. This is really sad to know that sum of the Russian soldiers are young and didn't not want to be apart of this and have died and their families don't know. After spending 14.5 years in the British army we are taught that you can tell a lot about an army by 3 things, their admin, their morale and their tactics. We are seeing first hand that the Russians tactics are shocking, if we believe the video footage we are shown of captive Russian soldiers their morale is at an all time low and from this video of their harbour, their admin is also shockingly poor. Having been in Iraq and Afghan multiple times, when I compare the quality of tactician, the taliban far outmatch the Russians and in regards to admin aswell they far outweigh the Russians. Two Russian Mig-29 jet fighters, circled above, repeatedly shoot and bombed the local forces on 10 April 2022. The 2 Mig-29s relentlessly attacked from the air while the soldiers on the ground bombarded with heavy artilleries mercilessly. No! It is not in Ukraine. It is in Karen State, Burma. The combined forces of the Karen National Liberation Army (KNLA) and the local People’s Defence Forces (PDF) stood firm and counter attacked the military regime’s troops. An intense battle was fought for several hours. Soon, the battle was won by the KNLA & the PDF, capturing a lieutenant and killing 20 soldiers. However, sadly, 2 heroes were fallen from the KNLA side. In that battle, a colonel and a lieutenant who had previously switched side to the KNLA from the military regime, fought together with the local forces. The local forces have no weapons to shoot down these jets. The Russian made Mig-29s, Sukhoi-s30s and Mi-15 helicopters freely rule the sky without any contest. The local forces are helpless in this regard. Russia has sold $247 millions worth of military equipment to the Military regime within 6 years (RFA - Radio Free Asia 6 April 2022). Russian artilleries are not only raining on in Ukraine, but also in Burma. That’s why; people of Burma totally support the people of Ukraine. They fully understand the pain and suffering of what the Ukrainians are currently going through. May President Zelenskyy and the heroic people of Ukraine totally defeat the heartless Russian invaders!

In the US army we called those fighting holes ranger graves, you dig them just deep enough to save your bacon in a shootout. Probably won't do much good under most indirect fire. It's honestly done that way because modern forces don't stop movement well before night religiously, as the sound of digging through the night can travel much farther, and honestly since the advent of body armor and the lack of a high intensity conflict in recent years, it's a largely uncommon thing for troops to fully dig in. I did it one time as a light infantryman in 25th ID and it was a training exercise. This was in 2013 if I remember right, pretty much at the end of my 4 years. 6/10 would not recommend for use against forces with competent indirect fires, i.e. the Ukrainian military.

@@doubleaught7540 That is proper, have a fall back position ready. This was because we still had Korean war combat soldiers who were now Senior NCO's or Battle field commissioned Officers who understood you need to train like you would fight and expect to live another day. Times change, really fluid conditions are the tactics of today, but the basics are going to give one a good chance of surviving a barrage or being overrun. I did 4 Reforgers, 74-76 and then again in 82, we flew from Bragg, jumped in. See you were 509th ABCT, I supported 2 /508th at Bragg, we were not a ABCT, were you guys in Italy, like the only Airborne unit stationed outside the U.S. after Panama Canal Zone closed. Regarding the battlefield, and the chaos of war, and having served myself, I have to say that the mess Russian soldiers make in their positions is disgusting.. Baring places attacked or messed up by artillery rounds, every trench or position they have been in are totally disorganised tips. For security, and sanitary reasons, we were always commanded to keep any position as clean as possible. The Russian soldiers are acting like pigs, living in troughs.

@davidwhittington76382 жыл бұрын
@@roceye It needs to be considered, that most of the population of Russia are nothing more than peasants tending the fields, living in basic if not medieval conditions. Serfdom, a form of slavery for those working owners land, was not repealed until the 1880's, when all other countries had removed this servitude centuries before. After 1917 the Soviets starved or murdered their own people through a number of Purges, killing millions. Education in villages only goes up to 12 years, then children have to go to state schools in their nearest city. But many never make it that far. Dictators love the poorly educated, because they are easier to manipulate, problem is, when let off the leash in a war, they revert back to what they were, and become mindless beasts..
