This is the inevitable result of importing 750,000 more people every year into a country already reeling from an acute housing crisis. If you increase demand for housing against a static supply thereof, people are going to end up on the streets. It's that simple.
@vylbird80142 ай бұрын
It's one of those NIMBY problems. What you propose is simple: Build more housing. Specifically low-cost housing - blocks of flats, perhaps even a subsidised council housing scheme. Simple idea, yes. Now, how would you feel if one of these blocks of flats were being built down the road from you, near where your kids go to school? A block that's going to be filled with people of low income, many unemployed? Of course most people would be angry, and the council would react accordingly to do everything in their power to block construction. Everyone is in agreement that low-cost housing is needed, but also that it is needed /somewhere else./ Not in my town. Never in my town.

Hate how staged these are sometimes, it takes away from the authenticity. Look at 1:43, shes outside shouting "is anyone in there?" When the cameraman has already gone sevwral metres inside to film her from the caves pov 😂

Geeza who put the camera in the cave was home, obviously.

A lot of homeless people will not accept accommodation and if they do very often they will not adhere to requirements of their tenancy and therefore become homeless it's a vicious cycle. During lockdown when many homeless were offered local accommodation they refused it or only remained in the dwellings for a very short time before returning to the streets

The truth is if billionaires paid their taxes there would housing and care for all of these people.

Wake up. There are 126 billionaires in the uk. If we taxed every penny and gave it to the people of the country at £1 1 billion lasts just 14.5 days. So 1 stretch or parliament if we taxed 100% of billionaires 100% of the assets. Such a thoughtless comment, something a leftwing extremist labour supporter would think is a good idea. So stupid.

Talk to someone, don't try and manage it all on your own. You're not alone 👍
