Kachupoy is named after a comedian in the 80s (to early 90s) named Kachupoy. Kachupoy haircut usually is split in half and flat and looks wet. The hair mentioned is called Kempee, named after the actor Kempee De Leon. Kempee De Leon use to sport that hairstyle during his matinee/teen idol era.

Once again, I think Kris is really not fit to say something about Indonesia, because he is lacking in representing the specific thing of Indonesia. In another video, he couldn't explain more why Iwan Fals become a legend in Indonesia music industry. Usually when you have topic about beauty, woman is more appropriate, but the South Korean guy is good explaining it. Yes Indonesia is addicted to whitening skin, but not with adding something to make 🍑 or butt bigger. I don't know how long Kris live in Indonesia compared to Korea, but he is definitely nope 🙅. He even said about Keluarga Cemara for heaven sakes, that's so old! I am quite disappointed when he mentions about Korean celebrities more as if Indonesia is lacking of handsome men. I think I can't watch this channel again when I see these groups discussing about something anymore. Talking about your country means you have responsibility to present it real, not just guessing. The PH one is very outdated in my Opinion. the Cachupoy is almost the style in many younger generation. We are talking about beauty standards and trends so we must consider all demographics especially those in the younger generation since the make up majority of the Influencers and Social Media users now. If you ask younger Generation the 80's and 90's are actually the real trend and what they call stylish/aesthetic. also many younger generation men and women do care about their skins now. They are heavily influenced by Social media to look good, clean, neat and clear skinned.

My mom is pretty much a conservative when it comes to Filipino beauty. Beauty according to her is not trying to look as foreign as possible to how you naturally look, to the point where you look like a “foreigner”. She’s not so fond of thick layer of makeup and dyed hair, or anything that could potentially damage your skin or take away any of your natural look. The reason why most Filipinos are judgemental for those people who get plastic surgery it's because in catholicism plastic surgery is like consider as a sin, it's like changing something that God gives you instead of embracing it, is like you're not appreciating what god gives you. 'cause also they say that everything happen or given for a reason (like in a positive way). And most Filipinos nowadays might open to plastic surgery but most of them don't get plastic surgery still because it's not yet accepted in society and Filipinos like natural beauty. Filipinos doesn't care about people who get plastic surgery if they are foreigner but if it's fellow Filipinos they discriminated and more likely bullied like what I said Filipinos are more obsessed with natural beauty than "plastic beauty" they say.

Tbh I don't understand the beauty standard in the ph nowadays. People have different preferences. Plus the bowl cut and apple cut that I've seen in korea is also kinda similar to some of the hairstyles that I've seen in filipino kids, Even I had that hairstyle before so idk lol. But yeah wanting to have bright skin is still very common. Filipino features also vary too, we have people here who may also look east asian or south asian so idk some may look mixed. At the end of the day it depends on your ancestry.

The one from the Philippines isn’t even true lol. I don’t know from which province/city in the Ph the lady is from, but from where I lived before and live currently, I’ve seen kababayans with naturally fair skin. And while Filipinos have varied skin tones (from fair to really dark skin), morena or tanned skin is the trend nowadays. More morenas are embracing their skin tone. Generalizations are harmful because I see quite a lot of foreigners telling Filipinos without the stereotypical features that they do not look like one. Please do better, it’s 2023.
