One tip about shops: Speak to the shopkeeper first and try to negotiate a discount (you can get discounts in almost all shops) before bying anything - it will save you a lot of money. Unlike ME1 money in games 2 and 3 is limited because you don't get any loot you can sell.

Ken and Gabby always have new ambient dialogue when you come back from a mission, so it's worth dropping by frequently to see what they have to say. Also, before you buy anything from a shop, try talking to the keeper. At most shops in the game you can earn a discount!

Planet scanning can quickly become a bit of a chore. You will need a lot of resources to upgrade everything, but you can find all you need just by scanning planets marked as "Rich." I sometimes scan those marked "Good" as well, but you can safely ignore those marked "Average" or "Poor." That will also make sure you don't run out of probes quite so often. It's up to you, obviously, but if you do find scanning starts to get a bit boring, it's something to bear in mind.

How do you not see the new dialogue option with Gardner? You're moving the selector all around, but somehow you miss it? I also don't understand how you can select the "casual" option in your "wardrobe", but totally ignore the armor option? That's insane to me that people don't connect the dots sometimes. Like...selecting casual brought me somewhere.....what happens if I select armor? It even says "select and customize your armor..." at the bottom of the window...

Part of why there are so many messages right away is that all the DLC activates right away, so the DLC characters and missions all pop up right away... Zaeed, Kasumi, Firewalker, & Overlord are all part of that.

3:35 Bit of ME history here: Kelly Chambers got badly messed up in the remaster. For reference, in the original game, she was a redhead and had a significantly different face. Apparently there was a bug that caused her model not to translate properly to the new textures and it was just never fixed. As a result she’s almost unrecognizable compared to the original Mass Effect 2. Most fans greatly prefer her original appearance.

Now that you've finished the prologue, you can read the graphic novel Mass Effect Redemption. It explains what happened between the attack and Shepard waking up in the Cerberus facility in more detail than the synopsis the characters give you in-game. It also shows you what Liara was up to during that time.

Zaeed takes some getting use to, hes gruff, heavy handed but some funny stuff to say. l like the way you handled the intro, not shocked by his treatment of another sentient being at all, such composure to brutality will serve you well in Mass Effect 2. This isnt Citadel space anymore, lawless and outlaws are how they do it in Terminus.

I love this game, but you know it’s a darker one than ME1 when the paragon dialogue has “…do this and I won’t break your legs” By the end even my paragon Shepard has built up a sizable chunk of red.

I love your appreciation for the lord and for the reading material. Did you finally find the reckon Hood? you need to enter the armor manual in your cabin. About the stores.. you want to first talk to the store owner and try and get them to give you a discount; it will be more difficult for you on the citadel since you killed the council, but you can still try; you do wants to buy as many as possible all those damage items and all kinds of improvements and I think you do want to buy the geth shotgun which is at Kenn's kiosk on Omega. About exploration once you enter the planet orbit it shows you whether the planet is Rich moderate or poor in resources, you do want to concentrate on the rich and good ones; you will need probably around 300k units of each resource to complete all the improvements on the ship that you need for a successful mission. I'm sure you will enjoy mass effect two no less than you enjoyed one; have fun, great watching you.

@@TheSunQueen well, I don’t think it is an issue with the game, which is probably why you also don’t notice it while playing, since when you were on your secondary set up during the final part of the previous game, you did not have this issue. It probably has something to do with your recording software or something, but I unfortunately also do not know enough about your set up or recording software in general for that matter. Perhaps you could compare the settings of both set ups and see if there are any differences related to sound quality and or mono versus stereo recording. It is most obvious in combat, since that is when gunfire is supposed to be going off around you, so if you do want to hear the difference in the videos, I think you could find footage of you in combat on both set ups during Mass Effect one and compare them side-by-side. I think you should be able to hear it, it is pretty obvious when you compare the two.

Definitely go for the Doctor first, since it's been heavily hinted. Then you could go for Archangel since he is literally in the same area. Keep in mind that after recruiting an ally you will be taken to the Normandy. So you need to go back to Omega for Archangel after recruiting the Doctor. The funny thing about Kasumi is that you two kinda look alike. Cosplay, maybe? The money from the bank are given to you because you imported a ME1 save. When the Trilogy released the sum was 1m credits, but Bioware nerfed it because it was too much too early. You can change your combat armor at the outfits locker in your quarters. That's where the Recon Hood is. Make sure to check with all your squad after every mission. ME2 is much more involved and personal, and there is a lot of dialogue and opinions about a lot of stuff happening. It is an RPG after all. Your people WILL have things to say about "what just happened", and often these post-events conversations will unlock some future possibilities.

On time for this one! Already commenting to help with algorithm. Will update after finishing. Edit - Well, you missed a dialogue choice with Miranda. Shep asks that whether she's perfect, and she just sadly replies that she is better than most, and for that reason her mistakes can be bad too. Shep assures making mistakes is part of being a human, and she just says thanks him for believing in her. Just a short convo to show she isn't really a bitch with people she respects. (Yes, I Love Miranda and Shepard as a pairing, they are perfect for each other and I'll die on that hill) All hub worlds (Omega, Citadel etc.) have character dialogue like the one you had with Miranda and Jacob, all over the place. Your whole squad I mean. Also, I'll say this hear, if tou want to hear npc convos, then listen to their dialogue, move away little bit, and then go near to listen to their convo continued. Do this to get full conversation. It'll start looping, so you'll know when to stop. Kasumi, Zaeed, Firewalker and Overlord and a couple of other missions are DLC for ME2. You can do the first three anytime you want, but keep most of the DLC missions for later on, as they are a bit more challenging, combat wise. And I see you made the mistake of buying goods at high price and then asking for discount. Don't make this mistake at Citadel's shop. You'll miss some funny dialogue. I'll also say that Zaeed and Kasumi's ship dialogue is handled differently then others, as they were added in later. You need to interact with them and their stuff multiple times to get the whole dialogue. It'll loop (for their belongings), or they'll tell you to leave and return later when talking to them.

A lot of those assignments are DLC content. The game just dumps them all on you at once. The emails are a source of a lot of amusement, especially when you start getting spam mail on it. Also more serious ones as well, but a lot are funny.
