Literally someone in the comments somewhere said "I hope it's not ACTUALLY called Switch 2". Um...that's probably the smartest name considering that it's a successor (and probably their "iPhone" or "PlayStation" that will continue on with more for a bit). We don't need another Wii U fiasco. And "Switch Deluxe" just doesn't have the same ring to it.

As someone who constantly screws up his sleep schedule for various reasons, I get it. But I guess this announcement doesn’t have the same impact at TTYD did to make you think you “took some awesome sleeping pills” and you were just dreaming :P

A small tip to help you with your financial troubles, but yeah, everything surrounding this reveal is weird. You'd think there would be more fanfare or set-up to Nintendo's next console, but instead it feels more like they're revealing it because the promised they'd do so before the end of their fiscal year, and given that it's been leaking EVERYWHERE and that more information isn't coming until April 2, this feels like fulfilling an obligation rather than actually informing people or getting people hyped. Also, this is just me, but while I get that calling it the "Nintendo Switch 2" is meant to avoid making the same mistakes made with the Wii U, it still sounds so clinical and dull compared to how weird and fun Nintendo usually is with naming things. New Mario Kart looks neat, at least.

So...based on how the joy-cons skated on the surface...perhaps those rumors of mouse functionality are true.... And the first game they show off is a HUGE looking new Mariokart... ...part of my brain is just connecting these two and making me think this is gonna have a track builder mode where we can use the mouse feature to make tracks 😀 I'm sorry, but I can't get this idea out of my head.

The system has all these 2s on it, but no Double Dash mode (pressumably), madness. Loving the new Mario Wonder-esque designs for the racers, and the joy-con mouse feature shown is getting me hyped at the potential!
