It would be impossible to get the full impact of the histories and dynamics of the characters by just binge watching. I've rewatched it all multiple times and still feel new things each time I hope she takes the time to rewatch S8E12 and all of S9 several times to fully digest the deep love and romance between Elizabeth and Lucas. She owes the talented writers who penned those scenes the acknowledgement that they wrote truth and canon which was not carried on into S10.

Interesting that some feel she could only truly understand the characters (most likely Elizabeth)and storyline(most likely referring to Elizabeth’s love life) if she binges S8&9 multiple times. I wonder what happened during those seasons that would offer greater insight into the characters’ motivation, than watching the entire show from its very first episode would provide?🤔😂

I love your interviews. I think that you ask the questions that I would ask if I was conducting the interview. It’s good to know that she did consider the show’s canon and getting an understanding her process. I particularly liked that you asked the about Jack being who is was in her heart. I’m a true lover of the Lucas & Elizabeth story and I feel a bit more hopeful about season 11 after watching this interview. Thank you!!!❤

The breakup is not as bad as referring to Lucas as a safe choice. That's an insult. He let her go multiple times. She kept running back to Lucas. So she played with a good, kind and patient man's heart just because her heart wasn't ready for a mountie. And then she breaks Lucas heart when her heart is ready to face her fears with the mountie?... Is this a good lesson? What are we supposed to make of her character?

Ok, if your main concern is Elizabeth, why didn't she go talk to Joseph or Minnie before or after she went to talk to Jack? Also, Lindsay said she doesn't like a storyline to end leaving fans sad & upset yet Season 10 ended with Elizabeth saying to Lucas, 'I wish I could give you my whole heart, but I just can't'. They built this beautiful, loving relationship between Elizabeth & Lucas (& Little Jack) for 2+ years, gradually showing Elizabeth had 'true' love for Lucas....she said 'I Love You' first, she watched Lucss with Little Jack & realized she CARED about him more than she thought, she was definitely hot & bothered when they were in Lucas' office & Lucas said, 'I want to be patient', she told Nathan 'I love you, BUT I'm not in LOVE with you', & she definitely was Happy when she accepted Lucas' proposal. So, to me, she already gave Lucas her whole heart. Yes, they had 'differences', but they knew how to talk things over & solved their problems. So, I'm sorry, ending their engagement wasn't just what fans were upset about, it was HOW the 'breakup' was done. And to say she picked Lucas because he was 'SAFE'! If they wanted to break off the engagement, ok, but make it believable. So now Elizabeth is making sad, puppy goo goo eyes at Nathan right after she had been kissing Lucas, practically pushing him into accepting to run for governor, TELLING him she wanted to go on the campaign trail with him TO saying, 'I can't go with you' as they're supposed to be boarding the train....& The big kicker is that Lucas is ok with this, he had sensed there was something wrong for awhile! Well, they needed a couple more episodes to SHOW there were problems in Paradise. NO, some Hearties aren't 'SAD or MAD', they feel their intelligence has been insulted. We're not stupid, we know what we saw in Season 8 & 9...the writers did a FANTASTIC job building their relationship, but did a HORRIBLE job trying to show the relationship was over. Lindsay said they originally were going with the wedding, but decided that would 'end' their story & would end WCTH...lame reason. Sorry this is so long. I know Lindsay or Brian Bird will never see this, they only want to see the happy comments & get pats on the back for a job well done, BUT, there's always two sides to a story. I wish they would contact Roxanne &/or Kathy from Everything About Hallmark to talk about Season 10. We are not mean or hateful fans, we just need some questions answered

They are answering fans questions and some fans arent accepting the answers. Nothing was erased. everything you saw, you saw and its happened. Storylines and people change. YOU have a right to not like the changes.SOme of the fans are mean and hateful. They need to get over themselves. The truth is: there is nothing anyone from When Calls the Heart can say that will make everything "okay" for some fans. ALL shows on TV have the same issue. No show OWES you anything And YOU have a right to NOT watch the show.

The wedding of Lucas and Elizabeth would not have ended the show. Far from it.They could have done so much for not only Hope Valley but all the other rural communities. They could have sent book wagons to the whole area and done so much good. Lucas would have had so many opportunities to challenge bad guys and solve big problems. They would have been a dynamic couple. Also Nathan and Faith were such a perfect couple. They could have had so many interesting Mountie and the doctor adventures. Plus, they looked so good together. Lost opportunities She said they wanted to follow the canon. Well Lucabeth Hearties have watched S8E12 and all of S9 so often we have it almost memorized. We know the history and souls of the characters. Saying Elizabeth chose Lucas because he was safe is an insult to us and the fantastic writers who wrote so many amazing romantic scenes in S9. Remember the "if we should marry" vows and his "life he's always wanted" scenes? We sure remember them. Lucabet Hearties felt manipulated and disrespected this year as if we weren't as important as the other official Hearties. They feel the teacher has to be with a mountie even if it's not the best choice for her. Gotta follow the book! Don't we count too? We know the governor's race and the greater stage storylines were just made up this year to drive a wedge between them. Now Lucabeth Hearties are sour and have a tear in their eyes like Elizabeth.
