Was a relief to see the ram eating ..... sheep that doesn't eat is a sheep that wants to die ... also its too bad wool isn't worth the match stick to burn it ... wonder if the wool market will ever turn around

I’ve been raising and working with sheep for a long time. You my friend are one of a kind and refreshing to say the least. You tell it the way it is spot on.Your mannerism and sense of reality in sheep will give people a insite to the truth of raising sheep. Keep up the good work those of us who have been at this awhile do it just the way you do and stay doing it.

We had a BIG tup taken down by a Soay tup. The big lad didn't have horns and was as gentle as you'd ever see in a tup - leicester longwool x something massive. He suffered brain damage and spinal injury. He got through it but it took 4 months of physio, so your lad will be right in no time. He can get himself up and about and is eating so as long as he stays hydrated, he'll come good 👍 We were syringing sugarbeet and molasses water into our lad, standing him over a bale to get his legs working. His brain damaged healed but his spinal damage isn't seen unless he is tipped or headbutted. Headbutting knocks him out for about 20 seconds and tipping makes him wobbly for about half hour. He's just living his best life out with 2 big friends and the tup lambs. His best friend is our biggest sheep and he looks after him, stops anyone form headbutting him.

Gawd, I wonder how much that concrete path would be today? Props wouldn’t fit a modern tractor.

What do you do with the wool?

It’s worthless and is just left to rot away.

Heard recently that grass keeps absorbing nitrogen even after it stops growing in a drought, so come that drought breaking rain it’ll jump.

Had a blue Texel the same way, and he came good with antibiotics and anti inflammatory jabs, he is covered for vacations as I was advised that could come back to kill him down the line.

It’s just awful, the way all that wool goes for nought.
