Love following you guys! I have a tiny horse farm in Connecticut, New England. We have 4 horses here. My horses are older now and have old horse issues. Hate calling the vet for an "emergency visit". It's at least 100 dollars for the vet just to pull in my driveway never mind what else is needed. It's the right thing to do. They are so dependent on us. We also call the vet and worry about the expenses after. Sucks so much more when the animal dies. Sorry for your loss.

Sorry about the stirk and the vets bills not a great week. Beautiful land that the Soays are on. I haven't seen a grass snake in years nor slowworms. So I am glad they are still about and not another species we have exterminated. Have a good weekend. Hope your speaking event goes well. Ps. You were dead wrong about the pink handbag definitely not too much for a farming based event. 🤣

So sorry about the calf. I'm not sire you're ever going to get those Soay back 🤣 One thing we did have success with to get some Soay ewes was using a halter trained tup. We took him into their field, walked around a bit, the ewes followed him back out and over half a mile across roads and down a track. Might be worth halter training one of your tups or get a teaser and halter train him for random Soay collection duties.
