love my bobby quad...fast, groveley, accelerates out of turns , and can hold in bigger surf. The tail is something special. I would recommend with the parallel outline and forward volume not to go too long, or else there will be a front-to-rear imbalance in the board causing the rear to sink. Sinking the rear half of the board causes the buoyant front end to come up out of the water losing drive. I would stick to the 6" off your normal shortboard or size it from a chin to nose height. Going a bit thicker first, and secondly a tad wider to get your volume. It's a slightly thinned out board overall. So, a touch thicker for starters.

Hey, thanks for sharing! Yes, my previous one was custom adding width and thickness, and had I had time to order one, I’d likely do the same again ✌️

Great review! Thanks for doing these. Just picked up a Bobby Quad in XTR 10 construction. Excited to see how it goes.

Epic! You can’t really get that in Australia, but I’d be frothing to check it out!

Thought the BQ was an average board until I tried it with H4 fins. Game changer!
@TheSurfboardGuide11 ай бұрын
Ah, I don’t think it needs the H4’s or a speed generating fin, but it doesn’t hurt!

32 litres looks way to low for you. Jordy is lighter at around 90kg and surfs 33-34 in average waves. Why do you think 32 is your volume? I'd love to see some comparisons in the pool where you try the same board in different sizes and volumes. Some more foam in the same boards around 35-36 litres would give your surfing much more flow.

How tall is Jordy? I’m 5’10 1/2. I think height also plays a part in volume and distribution of volume.

How do you reckon the bobby quad would go with the new futures Flow Quad fins?
@TheSurfboardGuide10 ай бұрын
Don’t know… I prefer a more classic-upright fin, so I don’t think they’d really be my go. But if you wanna cruise and draw longer lines, then maybe they’d be good!

Is the Tyler warren more of a good wave twinnie or a groveler?

The Bobby Quad looks the best of the three under Craig's feet

Yeah it felt good, but the Zipper was the one that suprised me. It felt good through turns, and watching the footage I really liked how looked in the water.

You're shorter than the 5'10 board Craig. You look spot on with that 5'8. So I would think you're over shooting your height. I'm 5'11, around your size and I'm 110kegs. No stress bro, nothing wrong with being a big boy, your still out there doing your thing!
