It almost strikes me as an old spiritual song. Maybe in the South or even ancient Celts. Amazing harmony.
@numbtoes124 жыл бұрын
Fun fact, the south draws a lot from Celtic influence without even knowing they do! For instance, the southern drawl evolved from an Irish accent. 😁
@TheOneanjel3 жыл бұрын
well, Carry Me Home is a phrase from old Bible hymns. Swing Low Sweet Chariot comes to mind.
@MegaKat3 жыл бұрын
@@numbtoes12 *gaelic The speaking patterns and what people consider bad English and bad grammar also stems from the very sentence structure of Gaelic. Instead of saying "I will, you will, she will," for example, the Gaelic grammar is "I be, you be, she/he be." The accent also stems from Gaelic, but the mountains of Appalachia were settled far more by Scottish immigrants fleeing English persecution in the 1700s, around the last uprising in 1745, much moreso than the Irish, who truly began to leave Ireland in droves nearly a full century later because of the famine and the English starving them out.
