Getaway Car as the opening track? Beautiful amazing show stopping never been done before. Would have left me only marginally less dead in a ditch than Cruel Summer being the opener Lover deserved. In terms of video ideas, I would love an in depth insight into the reign of terror of Steve and DBT. I was only vaguely aware of it at the time and now no one will speak of it. NYD is literally my fave LOL, but I totally get having a 'thing' that makes a song unenjoyable (like, I've noticed this and now I can't unhear it that way). Sometimes I feel like my reasons for not enjoying a song are stupid because I feel nitpicky, but like, I can't help my brain just not enjoying it. I like your tracklist, I would just have NYD after KOMH and before Ready for it.

I think your tracklist is pretty solid and I agree with a lot of your points! However, I personally would leave Ready For It as the album opener because it works as a prologue + mission statement for the story. Also think about how well crafted it would sound if Taylor says "Baby let the games begin, are you ready for it?" To then continue with "(Nothing good starts in a getaway car) It was the best of times, the worst of crimes..." This would be my personal tracklist: 1. Ready for it 2. Getaway Car 3. idsb 4. Lwymmd 5. Delicate obviously 6. Gorgeous 7. Don't blame me 8. Idwlf 9. So it goes 10. Dress 11. Dwoht 12. King of my heart 13. Call it what you want Ciwyw works well as a closer imo. Especially after Taylor previously saying "Is this the end of all the endings?". King of my heart is a great conclusion to the story but sonically doesn't work as a closer, while Cwyw does. It ends the story in a lighter tone both sonically and lyrically, since the song is pretty much a summary of the whole story and explains how she feels at the end of it.

I would add some of my opinion as well, I would still put TIWWCHNT on there after LWYMMD just for the sake of the storyline but remove/change the "Here's to my baby" line since she didn't really have anything going on that much with Joe yet, and prolly still include New Year's Day after KOMH but make it more pop-ish so it won't be an awkward transition between the previous song and "Ready For It" since it's like "You and I will end this year in peace but we would have to be ready for the following year once they know a lot about us".

2 years later and i come back to your older videos when i have nothing to do. Reputation is my favorite and i love every song on the album so i would never cut a single one from the record. Reputation is one of Taylor´s best tracklist but it could use some tweaks. This is how i personally listen to the album now: 1. ...Ready For It? 2. I Did Something Bad 3. Look What You Made Me Do 4. I love the retooling of the tracklist but I miss the delicate to lwymmd transition, i will forever be obsessed with a song called “delicate” fading away to a very delicate, music box esque intro, keeping with the dancer motif from the video, only to have the music box slam shut and reveal the snake underneath, ugh it’s iconic to me. Also love to hear you supporting the lwymmd quirkiness, the weirdass grimace/slimer sound effect in the chorus is *chefs kiss*

Unpopular opinion but I actually really like new year's day as the album closer. It feels like call it what you want is the final response to the world, and new year's day is bringing it back in to close around what was most important, not the world's opinion but this relationship and wanting to be with them during life's highs and quiet domesticity. It feels like a precursor to lover (the song).

Somewhat unrelated question for you. Links from one album to the next. The last MV on 1989 was OOTW, and the 1st MV from REP is LWYMMD with Taylor in the OOTW dress. Link from one era to the beginning of the next. Then, the first MV of Lover has a snake (Reputation) that turns into butterflies/ pastels and takes us into Lover era. Link from one era to the next. I don’t see a link from Lover to Folklore. But obviously, the Cardigan MV links into the first single from evermore, Willow with the cardigan/cabin/piano/etc. So this is interesting to me, linking 1989 - to - Rep - to - Lover, Folkore - to - Evermore. I can’t find but has she been doing this her entire career? Did she do this from debut to Fearless, Fearless to SN? SN to Red and I just don’t know and can’t find? Seems like she is purposefully taking the narrative from the last era into the first MV of the next album. Is this a thing?

The other day I was watching one of your videos & you didn't think she had anything in the vault for Reputation. I was thrown off because I specifically remembered an interview I came across in 2019 with Austin Swift where he said something along the lines of 'none of my favorite tracks ended up on the album' . My biggest gripe with Rep atm (even though I love the album) is that the sound has aged so badly. I just can’t with the EDM. I think it might get better with age again once we move far enough away from its heyday to make it nostalgic and retro cool but now it’s just a bit cringe. Would have loved a pure pop production. I’m scared what the re recording will be without Max Martin because a leave EDM in the hands of a lesser producer and it might be impossible to stand 🥹 Also I will die on the hill that LWYMD should only be played live and nothing else.
