I know I’m biased about this album because it came out just 22 days before my wedding, but I just can’t see it as her worst. The singles are probably the worst we were ever given, but cruel summer, lover, the archer, Cornelia street, DBATC, afterglow, are all incredible songs to me. I’ll never forget dancing to Lover during my reception as newly weds 🩷 paper rings even made it into our wedding video. Knowing their relationship ended makes me hear different things in the music now, but I still cherish the album (and my husband does too, the archer is one of his favorite TS songs)

There is a misconception online that Taylor is a spring color season. It's claimed that her skin has a warm undertone, so she can wear bright colors, but it's not true. She looks best in black, white, grey, maroon, brown and pastels while bright yellow drains her.

I know for most swifties ME! was horrifying but as a non swiftie mom of young children at the time, we had so much fun dancing to it just like we did with Shake it off. It endeared me to her. As much as people don't like to admit, ME! helped Taylor gain a new generation of kids as fans with the bright pastels, message of the song, and the production itself. I like the song. It's fun and it does its job well. I don't think the reaction to Midnights let alone Folklore/evermore would've been as captivated by the younger Gen Alpha kids now if she didn't do a hard reset with ME! or started off the era with a more complex song like Miss Americana or straight into the title track.

The thing is there are some really great gems on the album. Cornelia Street? Death by a Thousand Cuts? False God??? Cruel Summer? But then there's also I Forgot That You Existed, ME!, YNTCD (which she chose OVER All Of the Girls and Need), the cheap infantile marketing, Brandon Urie, and the political awakening (which is fine for me, except she really made it her whole personality that era and then dropped the act which was offputting - I know she still speaks on politics, but that period really made it seem like a promotional tool rather than reality). Long time subscriber who watches every video but never comments because who's afraid of little old swiftologist? Me! So don't block me please. But I actually loved the whole Lover era asthetic when it came out. I definitely had the album on repeat for months (yes there are plenty of skips, but also plenty of gems in my opinion). I feel like this opened my eyes a little bit about the turning 30 thing. As an older swifty who was grappling with entering my 30's and new life challenges, dealing with a lot of life changes, the way Daylight became my anthem!😂 It struck something within me, it just clicked in this sense of I'm getting older and I'm tired of being angry about things. Time to be about love. I've grown and changed since as well, but it resonated with me at a time when I needed it. Me! always gets a skip, but I will still put Cruel Summer, Death by a Thousand Cuts, and yes, Daylight, on repeat. Lover gets a lot of hate, but there are some really good songs on that album that I will stan forever.

The aesthetic transition from Reputation to Lover was too jarring. Look at how it charted FOUR YEARS LATTER if that song can go number 1 after 4 years it could debut at number 1 and dethrone old town road. It could’ve Gotten many Grammys and lover could’ve gotten more recognition like after it began a single it became her most streamed album

urgh I can't lie, I hated everything about Lover from the second ME! came out. I could not take that album seriously. Now I do like a few songs, but the album on the whole is such a mess, and the marketing was a mess, and everything was a mess. I cannot tell you how much my world was rocked by Folklore because of how much of a disaster Lover was
