Great looking pack with some really neat ideas. For the money seems a no-brainer. Love the top and bottom zippers inside, wish more packs had that as standard. Get angry when having to move the pack around just to stop everything falling out. Nice review Tim, keep 'em coming my friend.

Absolutely. When I saw the price I figured it would be ok but nothing to brag about but then after I received it and have been using it I realize that we can't judge gear (most anyway) by price alone. Lots of companies like LAPG are turning out great quality gear at fantastic prices. This is a great thing, hopefully it will help get more people outside to enjoy the outdoors.

I understand that this is an old post and I havent seen your other vids but One thing that I do recommend is buying some of those cheap 88 cent tent stakes from walmart and putting them in your bag for your tarp/rainfly, I understand that you live in a different environment than I do but I still think its better to have everything ready in case it does rain, instead of standing out in the rain fiddling with making your own. Kudos for packing out trash, I usually keep one of those plastic grocery bags you get from the super market and reuse them in my edc and hunting pack as a trash bag. So that way I don't have to unpack my bag, take out the trash, then repack it, I can just empty the bag! Already love your vids and subbed just now. ;)

I tell most people if your budget will allow for a more expensive pack, then go with the RUSH. If money is a little tight you’ll be very happy with the Atlas. Great quality but the RUSH is definitely a little better.

Good review Tim--just an idea--I'm also diabetic (type 1). I used to carry glucose tabs but my doc gave me a great idea. Smarties--the candy--take up less room and way cheaper than the glucose tabs and they taste better. I just toss some in a baggie and good to go. Just an idea and thanks for the review

Good review. Eagerly waiting for atlas 72 review and comparison. Thanks for this review. Is it comfortable enough for long hikes ?
@GearReviewDepot7 жыл бұрын
Yes, very comfortable. I have been finding I have more sweat on my back from this pack compared to others, this is normal for me anyway but I did find it a bit warmer on my back than other packs. But is it comfy, Yes, very.
@darthblade20167 жыл бұрын
#TheTacticalDefender I know you said you were planning to do a comparison video at some point, but would you consider this one a bit overkill as a day hiking pack? I'm debating between this and the 12-hour pack.
@GearReviewDepot7 жыл бұрын
No I wouldn't consider it overkill. Yes you can get away with the 12 hour pack for day hikes but for me personally the 12 would be too small. I like the size of the 24, I can carry a bunch of items if I need to or I can just put a few things in the pack if that's what the day or hike calls for, at least I would have that option. For me the 12 is a great edc pack because I don't edc as many items that I would bring into the woods.

The LAPG 72 hour pack is the best pack among other LAPG packs? Or any other brand/manufacturer? Just curious
@bdogg201012 жыл бұрын
@@GearReviewDepot I've looked and bought so many different bags and brands and nothing compares to the 72 hour Bag. Its a phenomenal bag. I was excited when I bought the bag. And now I got it, I am even more impressed and excited. This bag is by far way better than the 5.11 Rush.
@bdogg201012 жыл бұрын
@@GearReviewDepot i guess it depends on what your using the bag for. But as far as a trauma kit or medical kit. This is a beast. I used to carry 3 different bags just to carry all my supplies. But now the LAPG 72 hour is amazing. It fits all my supplies and it still has a lot more room if I need to add supplies.

Just the front pocket (admin pouch) can fit a full IFAK for 2. And it still has more room if I need it. And it is easily accessible. No need to dig through the entire pack to find the items I need.

@GearReviewDepot7 жыл бұрын
I don't believe so, they don't have the YKK on the zipper and there's nothing on their website saying anything about the zippers. I can tell you they are large and very strong from what I've experienced. I have been pretty hard on them, tugging them with one hand and so on and no problems as of yet.
