If you were to be in any location, you would immediately recognize her on the spot for her specific presentation of self (as long as you know who she is). It's genius. Also, in the fashion industry, her own personal choice of style for herself, she does NOT limit to the rest of the fashion industry. Everything you see published by vogue is ultimately run by her, based on the subject, looks, etc. If she were really so limited in just her own style, all you would see on the cover of a vogue magazine would just be women and men dressed like her.

I think it's humbling because we can all realize that we only get good at what we spend time doing and we can't spend our time doing one thing only if we want to be well-rounded. But if we choose to be possibly the best in the world at something then you probably need to put all of your time into that and then other things aren't as good. For me I think we should probably make it okay for people to not have kids because maybe some people would just be better working and not having kids? And why shouldn't that be okay for them to do without being put down? Like Steve Jobs is another person that I can appreciate and learn from some things that he did but overall as a person I wouldn't call him a role model because he was actually a horrible human being and you can learn more about what not to do and how not to treat people from him than anything. I just finished the book his daughter Lisa Brennan jobs roach and it's so sad how he treated her. But she turned out to be an amazing person and she took every opportunity that she did have in life and did the best you could with it which is what I know judge people for. I judge people for how they spend their time and energy, how they treat other people and how they choose to build businesses. I think we can learn to have empathy while also doing these other things in life. We really only get good at the things that we prioritize but for some reason we want to think that we can do more. That's just our ego, and our ego is wrong because we really need to sleep and eat and take care of ourselves or we die.

For me I think it's just disingenuous. Like I can totally ignorant that any success that I ever get is because of my dad and how he supported me with his money. There's no doubt about that and me working hard doesn't I have anything to do with that. I think everybody should have that opportunity to have their school paid for and not have loans and things like that. And to me this means it's an opportunity to talk about how everybody should have more opportunities instead she chooses to make it about her insecurities and trying to act like she didn't have as much opportunity as she did. This to me shows that she's just really insecure and I can have empathy for that because I know that I'm secure enough in myself that I can speak out about it and my dad have any money that helps me go to school doesn't take away from my heart work either. To me it's an opportunity to talk about how we all need each other and how nothing is created by one person only. That drives me nuts about Facebook because Mark Zuckerberg acts like he did it all on his own and you really didn't he's just a rich kid that also had a lot of opportunities. I think everybody should have as many opportunities as me and I think it's so fucked up how other people want to push other people down I think this need to be better than other people is actually a weakness.

Grace Coddington uses couture and creates dreams and fantasies, and Anna packages those dreams and sells them to the masses. They are the heart and the head of Vogue, respectively, and they do their jobs to excellence. They are the cream of their respective fields, and rightfully so. Anna probably hates "The Devil Wears Prada" because it hits too close to home, no matter how hard she'd like to think otherwise. She's extremely self-absorbed, and has been for a VERY long time. Andre Leon Talley knew this, too, so it's funny to see him crying foul, now that he's been expunged from her inner circle. He had one hell of a ride for 40+ years, though.

She wears a wig...wears glasses to hide her dark circles...wears unusual style to draw attention to herself to feed her ego. I've never read a Vogue in my life. I don't buy a magazine to page past the hundreds of fashion ads to get to the one story buried between slouching models wearing haute couture and a hand with a Cartier watch worn cattywappus because it might be clever. One has to care about the mag to care about the editor...even then most people don't give a crap. Anna Wintour wanted to be famous but really had no talent, apparently, except to organize pages of ads, pictures, and a little bit of copy. She stood on the shoulders of others. If I made a bucket list of publications I would want to be published in, Vogue wouldn't be one of them. P.S. She’s putting on a show. Often times when people are incredibly shy and worse, if you add anxiety to that, people are often seen as intimidating because they tend to not converse too much and are more so removed, this standing out. The fashion industry is very cutthroat, so it’s so if she ever wanted to survive, she’d have to put on a persona if she ever wanted to survive.

For people who read the book: (If I remember correctly) Andy found an ally in a Met Gala-like place where Miranda threw a huge party for her husband. Andy made a friend at that event, a girl that works for the venue, the girl told Andy how sick she was about how Miranda could just throw a party like that with so much demands, I guess the girl was so stressed out by it; the girl gave Andy a picture of Miranda's head attached to the body of a snake-like lizard reptile creature which Andy brought home and sticked on her refrigerator where Andy and Nate would laugh looking at it. That's probably where the term Dragon-Lady comes from.

Especially considering they are Doctors, Lawyers, Human Rights Social Workers and Advocates, Sociologists, Psychologists, Serious Journalists, Embassy Ambassadors, work at Amnesty International, are Anthropologists etc. All of them are highly educated.
