Clear, concise and compelling. There are knowledge bombs exploding throughout each episode. Everything being done contributing to the functionality of the fly is an engineer's dream. Bravo.

Such a great series... I'm eating them up one episode after another. I'm getting ready to use bucktail and marabou on an underspin (baitcaster/spinning gear) so this series has been very helpful as I've picked up a lot of tips/how-to's! I look forward to showcasing some of this on my own channel in the future. Thanks man, great stuff!

Infinite fly principle. Great video man- I tied flies all day long and even I struggle a lot with those hackle tails...they can be a pain man. This really made it clear as day how to treat them for consistent application. I hope people aren't discouraged by the length of these videos, there is so much good information within them. This series is such a tremendous resource for tyers new and old, and will prove valuable to tyers many years from now. Great articulation and presentation of the philosophies and techniques being used.

Gunnar, this is a life changer!! Been tying for almost a year and I’ve always struggled with feathers not orienting the way I want. Best video on the net, and I agree with the other comment. Definitely worth some $$. Thank you!!!

Great job. Your level of depth and detail in tying is amazing. Been tying casually for several years. Your tips and details are far beyond me, so I will be watching these videos far into the future, hoping to grasp a bit more each year. Thanks. You'd have many more views if you did a more basic tying for dummies series.

I was watching one of your videos on articulation of flies. You were talking about a very flexible wire to extend hook shank length. Could you please provide the type of wire it was and where to purchase it. It was used in the video to extend shank length on an EWG bass style hook for Deceiver type minnow flies for bass, pike, etc.. Thanks in advance.

Do you tie the hackle on the same way on all flies?

I noticed when you were figure eighting the hackle stem to the shank of the hook you laid the stem on the top of the shank causing the stem to be bent 180 degrees as you start to palmer the hackle. I start the figure eight process by placing the stem up against the bottom of the shank so that the stem is not being bent back on itself. Probably not critical when tying in by the tip as the stem is quite supple at the tip but when tying in at the base of the feather where the stem is potentially some what brittle, that could at the very least negate the orientation purpose of this tie in technique and or cause total failure of the tie in, due to brittleness of the stem.
