I tried this before with other non 1st party apps & at that point I had the same oppinion. But with this app it works .... Watching Movies without it feels dull now :D ... You just need to adjust the brightness & speed correctly ... then it doesnt feel flashy & annoying .. but rather ads a wow effect if I were to describe it :D
@tonymaftean4 жыл бұрын
The versatility of the Hue system gives you control over that. This video doesn't cover everything, you have various modes of lighting and you can set up brightness and speed so that it doesn't end up being a distraction instead of adding to the experience. That's why Hue is so much more expensive because it does work flawlessly and you have granular control over everything.

DIY Ambilight for your Sony tv.. but it would require two or preferably four light sources behind the tv, or better still an improved sectional lighstrip that could display separate colours along it's length, with position context for each section held in the app. Maybe Hue version three.. Definitely warrants an Android TV app too.

Can the strips individually address each LED? I might buy a bunch of the strips and stick them to the back of my monitor. However the strips would have to be individually addressable and not show the same color throughout a strip because this would reflect changes in one area of the monitor....Know what I mean? In your Video it Looks like the LED strip below your desk always has the same color and one half of the strip can’t show another color.
@aeroblizz19876 жыл бұрын
AFAIK the led strips can't show different colors at a time. I think you could install 2 led strips with the two ends joining right behind your monitor and have both show different colors, just like with the go bulbs

It's a way to play your PS4 games on your PC or laptop just look up how to do that. And after you do that, then cast it on your TV from your computer with Google chromecast. Seems like a lot of work but it'll have to do till PS4 get a Hue update.

@jantlotus6 жыл бұрын
Have had this setup for a month now. But i have complained to Philips about the Hue Sync. For in my case i use Nvidia Surround 5760x1080 and that works great in games, but when i feel to watch a movie only the middle screen is active and Hue Sync then only see my left and right screen as black. So i said to them that they should have a option in the settings for the app to switch between different resolutions, in my case from 5760x1080 to 1920x1080. Hope they will look in to it.
