If you've ever watched LTT, you'll understand why this is a dumb-ish idea. While for the first few uses it'll be fine, later on, the magnetic pins will wear out and stop connecting as well. That and the fact that this requires a bit more power draw then having it directly connected to the laptop and turning it on when needed. They could've hid it under the display or something, and it'd be a lot better.

@@gusti46 A punch hole, or hiding it in the bezels would've worked as well. I know it could've fit in the bezels because it's been done before in other brand laptops. Honor is pulling an Apple move with the camera. It's been tested that you can take about any camera and stick it up there, so they know it'll wear out, and you'll come to them buying a new one.

Indeed, the Honor Magic6 Pro got the 1st DxOMark places regarding camera, selfie, display and battery when launched around February, and took the 2nd place regarding sound (tied with a ROG Phone 6, a gamer smartphone) and losing just to a Black Shark (a Xiaomi gamer smartphone). The smartphone is a beast, no other brand had done a smartphone which did so high scores in every area. I bought it and also am waiting to be brought (it's not sold there in Brazil, at least officially yet).

Honor's Ecosystem is the best for quite a few years now. Unfortunately people are too stuck with Apple and Samsung. From desktop mode on smartphones, to sharing multiple ways, switching between devices and the absolute top multitasking (etc.) Honor is the champion out there. People just need to give it a try and they'll easily understand Huawei...erm Honor is class.

Glad I waited for the video. Awesome review as always. Honor is heading for the top & it won't surprise me to see them there. A retractable detachable webcam is perfect for privacy. No more worries about someone spying through it. They maintain their sleek device build across all their other devices too, which is amazing. Their ecosystem is great too. Brands at the top had better watch their backs. Honor is almost there.

The fear of losing the camera is a risk I'm willing to take. The perfect security and the genius flexibility of the camera will outweigh the feeling of losing the camera. Huawei should provide customers with replaceable parts for the camera, if it were to lose. 3:53 People will enjoy that haptic feedback on the laptop trackpad. I love haptic feedback, and I like that you can control the volume on the trackpad. The size of the trackpad is very interesting 🤔🧐.

@@Pukhraj_vansh Seriously? The only thing regretting me from buying the Honor Magicbook art 14 is that I want a laptop with stylus support. I don't like tablets and would like to have a 2-in-1 solution as my next laptop. The best currently is Microsoft Surface Pro 11, but costs an arm and a leg, the keyboard is sold separately, it's just 13" and don't have USB-A and HDMI. Many compromises for the huge price. If this had 5G for always-on connectivity I would buy at full price when launched.

to anyone asking.. the global magic v3 works on verizon, tmobile, at&t and all the other usa carriers but you need to import it, sites like wonda mobile or averagedad and then put your sim card in it. however you may not have wifi calling

Wow, the screen sharing was really neat. Does it "detect" where the tablet is? like, say you put your laptop on the desk, and want to use the tablet as a drawing tablet so you put it in front of you, does it show up "below" the laptop's monitor? Small detail and i guess you can always do it manually but it'd be interesting if it detected the screen position

It actually doesn't at the moment. It kind of just picks a place and then I had to move the phone to adapt to where it 'thought' it was. Unless I'm missing something, but yes it does need an 'arrangement' type tool

I'll stay on the Chinese this time but will wait for global next time for sure. It came out just 1 month later and has better compatibility with Google services and Phone link. (there's workarounds for many issues but it's a compromised experience in the end) Oh well at least I have a rare color (white) and 16gb ram 😅

It's not really about this ecosystem but what are your recommendations for laptops at the price range of about 750 euros? The inspiron 16 looked very nice with an amd 7 8840u processor. Do you also think there will be any discounts on maybe the intel chips with lunar lake chips releasing now? I just want a laptop for study and maybe some light gaming like minecraft. I would like to keep it for a few years and for it to be a bit future proof. So maybe the AI of the inspiron 16 would be usefull. I'd like to have your opinion.
