The BMW 801 aircraft engine 6:29 was used in the Luftwaffe during WWII in their top of the line fighter pictured on the wall. It produced almost 2,000 horsepower. I have heard that the BMW roundel represents a marine propeller. The blue is the water and the white is the propeller.

Well, technically you can, but in Germany it is common sense that you shouldn’t. No ropes needed for that. Applies to most museums. I mean you wouldn’t touch someone’s car in a parking lot, just because you could.

Wow Chris. You made that trip to Munich. That's about 400 miles from my home in the Netherland. And you caught "my" first BMW on camera. The e21 323i, Kashmir Metallic. That car caused my BMW addiction! Impressive that you came all the way down from FL to see this. And BMW was indeed a plane engine manufacturer, in origin. If you are still in Germany and you are interested in other car museum you should visit the Porsche and Mercedes Museum, Auto und Technik Museum Sinsheim is really big and nice and in the northern part of Germany you should visit Volkswagen Autostadt as there is a really nice car museum as well. If you go to the west you may visit JP Performance. Celebrate your stay. Let me know if you need some tips.

We visited the store, but I didn't see anything you couldn't just buy at a bmw dealership here in the states, so I saved my money. Would rather buy car parts 😁
