Who will remember us when we are long gone? Yaakov, as he prepares for his own demise, blesses his two grandsons Ephraim and Menashe in such a unique manner, that, however little we truly know about them, their names will live on forever.

I find it interesting that God wanted Ephraim and Manasseh (the grandchildren of an idolatrous priest in Egypt) welcomed into His people, His land, and His weekly Shabbat blessings. Rahab, Ruth, and many others have also received a similar honor. How inclusive. How beautiful. How gracious. His ways and thoughts are higher than ours. 😌
