I actually think the flock you used as the PVA cover up worked well and gave it more colour depth.

..good video , ..at the moment I'm thinking of changing my basing to grass Tufts as opposed to static , ..and any information is useful , ..I've quite a few packs of Tufts on my shelves but mainly been using static , however due to my change of terrain colour I thought a different method of greening up would be a nice change. !!

I'd recommend tufts by Tajima Miniatures as well, they have a range similar to those in the video as well as flowers and small bushes/shrubs. Based in the UK.

I like the flock sprinkle to blend it in to the surface. Nice touch. I use a hot glue gun and it's just a dab and place. But not too much since it will show, and unlike your pva example, you can't sprinkle flock over it to hide bits. It's nice to see another product on the market. Silflor has really been the only player for tufts. We won't talk about GW's since... well... they're fairly terrible (at least the ones I have seen in person) and shouldn't be considered. The Gamer's Grass folks need to get crackin' on the website. :)

***** My hot glue foo isn't that strong matey lol, and yeah, let's not talk about GW's pitiful attempt at grass tufts. Army painter also do some nice ones, you might want to check them out mate.

TheTerrainTutor Tajima in UK (Cornwall I think) do some really nice tufts as well; now doing weeds, strips, and whatcha-call-it moreland like tufts with rocks...really cool. Nice bloke to deal with and very reasonable prices - Very highly recommended! www.tajima1.co.uk/index.asp

TheTerrainTutor I understand the hot glue foo. :) I just stumbled across this video and the idea of using the template was a real innovation. It keeps all the fibers standing up! A must see: kzbin.info/www/bejne/n3e7mIahrpt9g7c Between this video and the tajima site Scott linked to, I plan on working on my own tufts a lot more going forward. Of course I am already sitting a a thousand+ of pre-mades so they will have their place as well. ;)
