You could try cereal box cardboard to add detail to your terrain. It's cheep and easy to work with.

I've been watching a lot of your videos. Love em. Lots of great knowledge. Only issue is I have struggled finding the materials needed. I live in the USA... no UK. Where can I but the high density foam/ POLYSTYRENE? I have gone to hardware stores.... man it's getting frustrating

Nice choice on the floral foam. Much easier to carve and easy to seal it later. I was also thinking that if you needed to carve very small detail, you could give it a very thinned down of pva to strengthen it just a touch. Looks like it's time to get an anatomy bood (probably already have one *grin*) and start studying up on faces. ;)
@TheTerrainTutor
@TheTerrainTutor 9 жыл бұрын
+Terranscapes Cheers bud, the pva is a nice idea, I'll try that. I hate faces but the bodies I'm good on, so much so that I constantly get annoyed with figure sculpts for being wrong lol

You can buy it as thin as 1 mm right upto 3” 5” amazing so you can use the 1 mm for a render look on top of brick !! never use that plaster cast stuff ! Yak! The styrofoam is light very east to carve ! Mel the terrain tutor is right !
