Have the sv trim. This car practically drives itself and I love it. I do a lot of highway driving and I’ve been averaging 34 mpg. Even just cruising in it just feels so right. Definitely the right choice to get this car

This generation has come a long way since 2007 which was the last style that was beautiful. The Altima is a great car people biased about Nissan reliability and CVT still on the bright side it's a good car I'm sure this new one will be as reliable like Camry and Accord. The redesign is much better than last generation like the refreshed Maxima hope u do a review of the 2019 Maxima but Altima will be the car recommend looking for an good midsize car what other midsize sedan u can get with AWD (Camry or Accord...no) so it seems Nissan doing something good now Ghosn has left Nissan we should see more improvements in next couple years on other models. In 1999 Nissan went bankrupt that's why Ghosn Renault took it over than in 2006 Nissan was going to go out of business that was When they had rush to make the 2007 Altima which thank for saving the company.

I have always liked my Altimas. My first one was a 2003 SE V-6 with a manual and I loved it, except for the interior quality. My wife has a 2008 2.5S that was purchased new and still runs great (only 68K on it), just hate the CVT. We are looking to purchase a replacement in the next year or so and we are liking this new Altima or the Mazda 6. I really like the 6 for the geared transmission, but am now compelled by the Altima's available AWD.

Keith Dehmann I wish mfgs would still put manuals in midsize sedans, although I think you can get the Accord in a manual. I’ve always felt like Mazdas have a more sporty driving experience but AWD is a big plus so I understand your dilemma. I guess it depends on where you live!

The one problem I have with Mazda's, particularly the 2019 3 and 6 is the cylinder deactivation. GM has always had issues with that feature, and having been the owner of a CVT equipped 2012 Versa sedan, I'll trust the reliability of the CVT over the cylinder deactivation.

Have you gotten the Altima? I have been strongly leaning toward wanting one, but one big and consistent complaint I have heard is making me a little dubious.

Ill take their key fob over the giant bricks that the other manufacturers give you. It does everything the others do but with out it pulling you pants down when you put it in your pocket.

Love this. Been looking to trade in my 2016 Nissan Altima for the 2019 Altima SL that you demo and I'm sold. I just test drove the SL and it was flawless, seamless interactions from driving to technology to the safety features. Thank you for going over each feature in depth. Can't wait to acquire it and make it my own.

Yo! I just bought a brand new 2021 Altima SL. Exactly like this one. I have a question I'm not sure you have an answer to but... When I get close to something in the front of the car, like my garage... it does not beep. Almost like it will let me hit it if I try. Does this Altima come with forward beeping? I haven't tried the rear but but I'm sure that will beep.

I have a 21 Altima and yes it does. I was wondering the same thing but today a car slammed in front of me and my car beeped and had a caution light flash and then slammed on brakes.

@@ItsChrisWorld yo! Thanks for the response. I've seen that too, but that's not what I meant. That's the front collision feature. Love that feature. What I'm saying is imagine you're going 2mph, backing up. It will beep if you get too close to a wall. But it won't if your going forward at that speed - it'll let you hit it.

@@ItsChrisWorld that's crazy tho, I've seen that feature happen but I stopped before it auto braked. That seems super handy on the freeway if you're not paying attention & the car in front of you stop suddenly

Definelty not the best Altima. CVT is garbage. Miss the old V6 with a five speed auto. Was a great driver.

The Altima has never had a 6AT. They had a 5AT in the L31 and up until '09 they had a stick option in the L32, but from the post-refresh L32 on it has been a CVT only.

Test drive a 2016 17 or 18 altima with rhe v6 and tell me its not way more responsive than the 5spd auto while getting better mileage and its quicker

I'm having a hard time with the CVT and to add further insult to injury, now the V6 is gone. I used to really like the Altima. Now not soo much. I had one as a rental... and I was not impressed.

Only get this car if you want the transmission CVT to last 62,000 miles then the warranty runs out and you're screwed you're paying for 26 Grand Avenue transmission Devils only guaranteed for 1 year. What a joke Nissan

Would you consider it if the dealership offered a lifetime powertrain warranty? I am aware of the problems Nissan has had with their CVT, but the local dealership in my area offers a lifetime warranty, making it awfully tempting for me to purchase the Altima. I’ve always been a Honda guy, but the turbo engine, oil dilution issue, and complaints about the uncomfortable seats have sour my taste sonne with the Accord.

I am currently renting The Nissan Altima SL . To me this car sucks. No horsepower to merge into traffic. Seats are not comfortable. I rented from Enterprise and took it back but no cars to exchange. If you are an older person , do not rent this auto.
