This song is an absolute banger 🤘😎🤘. Kai's drumming on this is just crazy ( Kai Hahto "The Human Metronome", or in my book Kai "The Machine Gun" Hahto )!!! In one interview Tuomas/Marko said that Floor has a lungs of a dolphin (That long note is 💥)!!! Plus, she holds the last note (A4) of Nightwish - Ad Astra for 17 seconds (10/6/2022 Sweden Festival). If this wasn't impressive enough, I can also add than now she's just one, I mean ONE, second short from equaling Pavarotti's longest belt ever recorded. So,.... Nuff Said !!!! NWSU/FloorFan 🤘😎🤘

Congrats on 3.5M views. Marko's Devil character is amorously pursuing Floor's Mermaid character. She is having none of it, and manages to get away. This is an old song, from the 2nd album, Oceanborn in 1998. Even before Marko joined. The studio version had vocals by Tarja and guest male singer ,Tapio Wilska, and Sami Vanska on bass. A nice heavier song, love the back and forth vocals.

@@TheThamesmen That's a song from the album Oceanborn (1998) taken to life now at the Decades tour. The Marco's vocals were performed by Tapio Wilska back then (Marco wasn't with Nightwish at the release of the album, bassist there is still Sami Vanska). I personally like Marco's vocals more, I feel Tapio rendition a bit flat. The drumming here is excellent from both drummers Kai and Jukka in the past. The fastest part is changing on beat and off beat if you take attention. What to tell about Tuomas and Emppu they are always brilliant but here in this live performance Floor is just magnificent vocally and visually.. real Goddess mode from her:)

This a true show off song. I have a theory that if Floor was just a bit shorter once she started training and the opera and musical theater people she trained with would have had her on the stage. We would then know her through the West End, Broadway and the Movies.

This week has been a pleasure to watch! 😊 And this song, now remade and with Marko and Floor as singers, is absolutely top. The way the singers perform the song and then the way the rest of the crew, Nightwish + Crewish create that "show" behind them, is an incredibly great collaboration. It's really a show, not just a song. A holistic experience. You can get a little Nightwish + movie vibe with their old music video "Sleeping Sun". Not the oldest one, made before Marko, but a newer video after Marko had joined the band. During the video, you can see all of Nightwish dressed in old military clothes. Tuomas is a crusader knight. Marko, Emppu and Jukka are respectively in the light armor of an infantry soldier. And for all of them, those outfits fit, as if they had come in a time machine to the present day! The whole Nightwish band is at their best playing this one. This Decades tour was excellent and there is a double CD . By the way So What by the Anti Nowhere League was always requested at discos in early 80s, although the B side to Streets of London by Ralph McTell, because it was one a the few records that regularly used the F word and people found it funny.

Top 4 for me, with Dead Boy's Poem from the same show. In the original it wasn't a standout track despite the obvious genius behind it. Tapio couldn't actually sing much and Tarja didn't have the glissandi or emotion. This revitalised version has revealed the full genius behind it. And listen to those drums!! BTW don't worry about referring to Emppu's height - he referred to himself as "The Yodelling Midget"

There are dozens of great tracks that are outwith the standard 5 shows (Hartwall 2005, Wacken 2013, Tampere and Wembley 2015 and Buenos Aires 2018). Many are on good quality video like Rock in Rio 30th anniversary, Montreux 2012 and others (I could list them all for you). Some are album knly, some are on video but not the best ever. Hence a sheet that identifies the pro-shot videos and versions But you miss out if only doing live shows - you would never hear Lappi from the debut album, Tarja at her best and Tuomas singing too; Dead Gardens; Taikatalvi (haven't found a decent video but a Marco soft solo)...
