Kinda? In the scene when Mr. Boots in the beginning goes to the window of Jack and Jill's room, before he breaks in, it's a blurry shot but behind Jill's skirts you can see the foggy outline of Humpty. I've watched this movie more times than I care to mention since it came out.

I still can’t get over the fact that Bill can notice and point out things that I would never in a million years notice. It doesn’t matter if I’ve seen something for years, he will notice something and make connections after the first watch alone. This is why I always look forward to bill’s perspective. He makes me look at things in a new way.

A great origin story for a great legend. This movie is pretty underrated in my opinion, with good comedy, great characters, and a great soundtrack, all of which _The Last Wish_ turns up to eleven and adds so much more. I really appreciate you deep diving into this one.

I also thought jack and jill were siblings, but it's never specified in the rhyme. Yes they were siblings but I believe that's the joke(not sure if it's confirmed by filmmakers). The accent and the fact that they look the same implies that this is an incestuous relationship(Sweet Home Alabama).

I was so confused as a child watching this movie and seeing Jack and Jill being a couple- I thought they were siblings. it was so awkward that time lmao. Havent watched this film for YEARS but THE only dialogue I remember so clearly was during that hotel shaving scene. "I want a baby" "A baby what Jack" "A baby us Jill"

Its called counter-peristalsis contraction Basically a regular egg instead of getting laid travels back and a second egg forms around it thats much larger that the original. So basically being a double egg from a magicial goose he got double the magic, and became talking egg

ok genuinely tho- your statement about the shaving thing, about trust and intimacy and how it was conveyed in the sequel with Puss and Kitty- it made me think about how Jack and Jill are actually genuinely a good married couple. I didnt think much about it as a kid, but now I think theyre actually Villain couple goals (⁠ꏿ⁠﹏⁠ꏿ⁠;⁠) (maybe im wrong I havent watched this movie in a long timehhhh)

Wow, I love how slightly different ways of viewing a movie can completely change how someone saw it(it made me think of this vide by cj the x about getting rid of the first 5 minutes of Tangled would change the whole movie), and you pointed out a lot of connections between the first and second Puss in Boots that I had never even thought to connect! In German he's called "Der Gestiefelte Kater" which just pretty much means The Male Cat in Boots. Anyway, the cool thing about that is that he's just called "Kater" in German which just sounds like the name Carter. - A cooler name than Puss if you ask me.

lil hint in an after credits/extras scene its shown Humpty Dumpty actually just used an inflatable crash suit to be safe, hid in his gold egg disguise sprinkling fake eggshells around it and hitched a ride with mama goose to pretend to be a golden egg

This is unrelated to the video, but could you please consider doing a reaction to vocaloid? It’s a musical software, and it’s definitely not a genre, so i know it can get a little confusing at first. I’m sure you can find a better explanation somewhere, but I consider voice synthesizer software an instrument the same way a guitar is. The vocaloid community is basically starving for good reaction content, and I honestly think you’d like it. There’s a language barrier, sure, but most of the community doesn’t speak Japanese either and we do fine with just looking at subtitles. I really want to see you dissect it, because vocaloid music allows for complete creative freedom, and there are songs ranging from silly happy mindless fun to the most disturbing shit you’ve ever heard. If you do decide to react, here are the classics of vocaloid (and a brief description of the song): Wowaka - Rolling girl (a heavy song about a girl struggling with depression, some interpret it as sad, some interpret it as hopeful, it depends on you. As for the sound, Rolling girl has a very sorrowful piano melody mixed with a grunge-y sound) DECO*27 - The vampire (A song without much of a meaning, but it’s a godddamn banger. It has a really crunchy and bubbly feel) Teniwoha - Villain (about the struggles of queer, especially transgender people) PinnochioP - Non-breath oblige (a beautiful song about the horrors of humanity but a very hopeful and emotional undertone with a very fast pace) Karikibear - Venom (a VERY fun song, has that jumpy feel to it! But it’s about substance addiction) Karikibear - Bug (also very fun song that is by the same producer so it has a very similar feel, this one’s about losing your sanity) Wowaka - unknown mother goose (my favorite song of all time just for the sake of its meaning. It has a very unconventional sound, (not as unconventional as other vocaloid songs though) and imo the sound matters way less than the lyrics. You gotta have the context for this one, I’m sure there’s an explanation in the comments of that song) Giga-P - Bring it on (rave-ish song that is about keeping an open mind about growing up. Very badass, very heartwarming, very fun, just good all around.) Kanaria - KING (this song sounds so good I don’t even know what it’s meaning is) Here are more disturbing songs that need their own content warnings, no explanation for these because the look on people’s faces when they go in blind is priceless: Kikuo - Gomenne gomenne MARETU - Coin locker baby MASA WORKS DESIGN - the fox’s wedding

I did not enjoy this movie at all outside of puss and kitty. Humpty was a terrible villain and the movie gaslights you for rightfully finding him to be an irredeemable cur. The narrative always treats puss as if he abandoned humpty when humpty was the one who deceived, manipulated and gaslit puss before coercing him into a town crime. The truth of that night is never brought up again and puss is the one who ends up apologizing to HUMPTY. Humpty is subsequently redeemed and gets his “happy” ending despite dying but he never owns up to anything
