Fun Fact: Not only was the first teaser not released until three months before it hit theaters, but they spoiled the big twist villain reveal, and almost everything else in said teaser. Overall, I like this movie pretty well, but it's nowhere near DreamWorks' masterpieces from the previous year.

I enjoyed this film, i only saw a piece of it in theatres. The animation was awesome and characters were funny, in addition Dreamworks making mermaids evil was good because mermaids in myths good be good or bad.

I thought the movie was decent. I love the music and soundtrack of the movie tho. And apparently the mermaid is supposed to be accruate to their original myth counterparts. I heard idk since real life mermaids are not as friendly as the disney one. Also I loved ruby because of the giant kraken battle which reminded me of Godzilla, Ultraman, Power Rangers, Pacific Rim so on

Honestly prom is just a fun thing to get together with friends on the last or beginning of school day. Idk maybe it’s the ending. But anyways, it’s like a for fun thing. So if they make a sequel, and they don't spoil too much in the trailers for the sequel, maybe more people would want to go see the sequel, and they might enjoy it. Besides, dreamworks is really good with sequels. Look at puss in boots 2. They can do the same with RGTK 2, if they make it! And the director of the movie even said he plans to introduce more sea monsters for ruby to fight in the future! Ruby gillman is just underrated and misunderstood. It's such a shame people didn't see how good it actually is. But i did.

I too went into this unknowing/blind, and I really liked it. Seeing the comments comparing them…Ruby Gillman or Turning Red? Hmm, I’m a little biased due to loving almost anything with an underwater-supernatural aspect, so maybe Ruby. Also because kraken is just cooler than a panda (I mean, the laser eyes, glowing body, traveling the seven seas within a day!!!!!) … And me personally…if I found out I was different, like those two, I’d BE SO HAPPY and embrace it from the start 😍

my prom was at the king tut exhibit, it was really nice, the music was good and i was stuffing my face with fruit because we had a chocolate fountain. i didnt have a date which i was sad about it at first but got over when guys were asking me out for 1 of 2 reasons to go to get a discount on prom because i was on the prom committee & the second reason was because the girls the wanted to asked turn them down or their girlfriends declined & they had already bought a hotel room but other than that prom was fun & i had fun with my friends
