I know that's part of it, but I guarantee you this new, more confident sound is also because he's having a baby soon. Even before the kid actually gets here, that shit will change every single aspect of your life. The way you think, the way you act, the way you see yourself and the world. This mixtape is a complete leap forward in his evolution and im sure that is a huge factor in it.

@@OrlandoDUG Yeah, it's not all that. But at the same time, "Lost" and "Clouds" is one of the tracks on the album that sounds most like his old style. This new more confident NF on all the other tracks I have a feeling were done recently. It's hard to explain, but idk, I can kind of hear it in his voice alone. Knowing you're having a kid, for someone like NF. Is a huge boost to your overall happiness and self esteem, and when you're in that zone you can get a lot done in 4 months. But I also think you're right, it's not the only reason he's switched it up. I think even he (after The Search) was thinkin alright, man i gotta do something different.
