However, she didn’t want to be known as a rapper who can sing, so she wanted more singing parts. I disliked pink venom because it sounded like every single bp song there, shut down had some originality compared to other bp songs tho it still the same concept, same theme and genre of music. Shut down was saved by that creative classic sample in the background, without it idk if I would like it. (Shut down is one of my favorite BP title tracks so far, best one since playing with fire in my opinion) Still waiting for Blackpink do ACTUALLY venture into the unknown.

MAYBE shut the hell up and let them breath a little. They've worked really hard getting where they are. So we get songs like them. It must be frustrating for them. That gypsy violin, creating that like fortuneteller vibe,.. I think it's a Stroh violin which is an amplified violin with a brass horn attached to it,.. making that sound. They ride that same rhythm all the way thru this song. AND MAN!! does it work. It's a super badass song. They're dropping F-bombs in this album. Not just Jennie & Lisa, Rose' & Jisoo are cussing too. Pretty understandable as Jennie is also the Lead Vocalist of the Group (she also has to sing) Lisa on the other hand is a lead rapper and sub vocalist (sub mean she is not actually required to sing in the song) but being a lead rapper, she has to sing some lines and some black pink songs only have 1 rap verse. Since Jennie is a lead vocalist (considering her main rapper position), she is given vocal time to sing and rap parts are given to Lisa since she is only a sub vocalist and doesn't have to sing. If Jennie is given both the rap parts and vocal parts, majority of the song will be hers and they have to give at least equal lines.
