For me I listened to mgk more after the beef. I cant say I was a can from the beginning but the fact that most the other rappers eminem dissed either said sorry or thank you to em, mgk actually tried to fire back. Personally I liked mgk's diss but think eminem rebuttal was still better but I don't take one side over the other like the die hard eminem fans though

I always knew MGK was a really talented artist ever since the first album and I wasn't even a fan, I just heard a couple of songs from that album but didn't really get into more of his stuff simply because I'm not a huge rap fan. But Hotel Diablo made me an MGK fan officially and made me check more of his other stuff. About the Eminem beef, I've always thought that was kinda weird and uncalled for since he is one of MGK's biggest influences and it doesn't really make much sense for MGK to do start shit with his literal idol from out of nowhere. It feels a lot like one of those publicity shit in the industry like how the Paul brothers would make diss tracks on each other just to get people to start talking. They know people love that shit and a lot of people actually bought into it, and that's actually one of the things I didn't like about the rap community and why it took me this long to get into rap music. Anyway, it still doesn't change the fact that MGK is an amazing and talented artist despite all that shit.
