This is the greatest CHH Album of all time. In terms of production, concept, delivery, features, pure bars..everything on this album shows just how far CHH has come. And for Lecrae, the man who really started pioneered and brought CHH into the limelight, he deserves to be the man who ends on top with this masterpiece.

mmhh idk about started because a lot of artist came from a church project back early 00s it was hardcore Jesus bars and even in the 90s like gospel gangstaz

For me GRITS were the true pioneers, but surely Lecrae has been standing on as the GOAT CHH so far. As a Cristian fan of hip hop I can't help but say that "My life me like" from GRITS is the first great hit from a CHH hip-hop artist, even having a feature on Fast and Furious Playlist

So idk how much everyone told you but the opening line to CC4 has the same structure as his line in CC1 where he says: “RIP to Medgar Evers, RIP to Doctor King I ain't tryna hate on my own kind But Al and Jesse don't speak for me” Also, in this album he has Still in America and previously made a song called Welcome to America. This album also has a song called Fear Not and he previously has one called “Fear” Also has Misconceptions on every Church Clothes mixtape I’m sure there’s a few more things I can’t think of right now.

Not Judgment or Hate, Just Love: To quote a KB line, " I am not judge I communicate what the Judge-meant". Christians aren't being judgmental when we say others are sinners. Every single person is one including born-again Christians. The difference being we know that because of radical conversion through repentance and faith that God is real and that he offers forgiveness. How much would we have to hate you to not tell you the truth? Reminding you of that fact is to awaken your conscience to realize that wrath and judgement is upon you. Just like in civil law you can be guilty of certain crimes and someone else can come in and pay your fine and the judge can legally let you go because of someone else's mercy. In the same way we (all being guilty of sin) have the opportunity to legally have God forgive our sins because Jesus paid the fine on our behalf. Now the wrath of God no longer falls on us and we are reconciled to Him. Spreading that news is love not judgment or hate.

The whole idea of “Questioning God” being taught as taboo is a misconception. Crae had his questions, took them to God, and deconstructed his faith for it to be honed and reconstructed into something greater. He’s faced so much backlash mostly from “Christians,” it’s nuts. Easily at least a 9/10.

You see that he is this unashamed unabashed Evangelical Christian rapper which he always has been especially in his first four albums At a certain point he started to reach out and try to go for a more mainstream sound to avoid being categorized only interest in circles so he can reach a wider audience and got an extreme amount of criticism for that as if he had fallen away from Jesus won't gather This is him returning to form especially from his restoration album going forward
