I had a friend over who was watching this series I was just catching glimpses through the night, he was mid season 2. Long story short I spend 2 weeks watching and rewatching this series after that night which btw we stayed up all night until we finished season 3 crazy ride 100% recommend this one.

I’m so glad you came out with this video, I just finished season 3 and I am OBSESSED with it! My biggest gripe is that so much happened in the last season finale that I wish was in the meat of the season. I just hate that we have to wait so long, I want more answers and more of these characters!

If you’re looking for show recommendations, then I recommend Grimm and Falling Skies. Both have been finished. Grimm is a fantasy show set in modern times following Nick who is a Grimm, which means he can see Wesen(The ‘Monsters’). Falling Skies follows a group of survivors fighting and surviving against Alien invaders and at times other people.

I was there day one, had nothing to watch and the first episode just got out. IMDb didn't have much to say so I went blind... man, what a surprise. For me, although I won't deny the similarities you mention with Lost, I think From is an entirely different beast. From is pure horror, and I can't mention another show this faithful with the genre. You also mentioned TWD, but that one is not horror, is dramatic show with an apocalyptic setting. From does have drama, but it's always derived from what the monsters do. In fact, my theory about the show is based on that. There are no rules. The monsters come out at night because it's scarier, and they put the stones in he forest for Boyd to find, they do nothing, just give the people a little hope, because they feed of despair. Everytime they kill someone, they make it loud for the others to hear, and a gory mess to find. Every step the people take to live better, they get pushed two steps back.

I watched season 1. It was pretty good. The mystery was intriguing, but it was incredibly slow. Some episodes the story didn't progress at all. I waited well over a year for season 2, and it was even worse. NOTHING WAS HAPPENING. I watched multiple episodes where just nothing important ever happened. Characters talked about unimportant shit whilst ignoring their current situation. No one shared information with each other. The story didn't progress at all. Even when something does finally happen, it goes back to normal 2 minutes later and the characters don't tell anyone else what happened, and there's no reason for them to withhold this info. The overall story is interesting. But it could not be more obvious that the studio heads told the writers to extend the show past what was planned, so they can milk as much as they can out of it. I've never found myself getting more annoyed at a show. Shouting at characters. Or just getting bored and scrolling on my phone instead. I think the only people that would enjoy this show are the same people that enjoy those low budget CW super hero shows with awful acting and stories that drag on forever. It would have worked much better as a movie.

So season one they had an issue of forgetting things they set in play. Like they setup the spike strips and then drove over the area with a car to go get people. the strip only did something when they had to return at night when they remembered it was there. They would setup something, then people would wander where it should've been tripped, then it wouldn't trip until the script says it should. Didn't notice it during season 2 though and damn this show is addictive.

I've been watching since day 1. One of my absolute favorite shows. Harold Perrineau kills it. He was great in OZ, Lost and this. Underrated actor. My fan theory has always been this- extraterrestrials.

Why would someone experience some crazy shit that might give them clues but would keep it a secret or avoid saying anything because they thought people would call them crazy. Yeah absolutely. The first season you can kinda understand it …differing people building trust and distrust, in wild circumstances that would have people acting in weird ways for self preservation purposes. But once characters have lived in this environment for a while and adjusted it just makes no sense that they wouldn’t work together. And in the 2nd season once you understand the new bus full of people is just to draw out runtime with obstacles to get over it starts to feel like every episode is padded to the brim. And unlike what is said in the video I love Slowburn unveiling type of show. But it better have a purpose and the payoffs just aren’t worth the set ups in the case of subsequent seasons. 1st season is great though.

I still love how manny informations they gave the audience from the first Episode and let us think about it more. I had so much fun, searching for informations and answers during every Episode. Even the Intro each season are full of informations. Some people want everything directly in their hands, instead of using their brains and pay more attention. The pace in S3 was low but it was full of Informations from the first episode and with it, we know much more than before. After the end of Season 3 i was more convinced with my theory, that the show is inspired by some H.P. Lovecraft concepts.

I kept watching it hoping for it to get better but it just didn't. I don't like how this show creates unnecessary drama and mystery just to not resolve them. Yk like that one time that girl accidentally killed her brother while trying to kill Ethan, what happened to the voices she heard? They just suddenly disappeared for the rest of the show? We never got a explanation for why she even heard voices and now we don't even why she stopped hearing voices. This show does accidental deaths a lot. Once a police officer accidentally shot someone (understandable) Once boyd's son was accidentally stabbed. Once fatima accidentally killed an old lady. I'm sick of it. There are so many unnecessary stupid deaths too, like Father khatri didn't needed to die (does anyone even remember how he died?). And that guy who was put in the box because he left his family alone for one night. The whole rule of box thing was half-@ss and stupid to me.

From what I understood the writers have the end game in mind and it’s planned to be 5 seasons, however they are making up everything in between as they go (other then the first season)most notably the story with Fatima in the third season was done on the fly. i thought it was very very tiring in the way the story unravels and it did make me think of the worst aspects of Lost (throwing more and more questions and mysteries to the viewer without ever answering them for the sake of holding the interest). I was invested in season 1 and i totally lost it in season 2 and season 3, didnt even finish season 3. Felt the show didnt respect my time
