Back At Volcano Bay On A Very Busy Day | Menu Changes, Park Update & More!

In today's vlog we head back to Volcano Bay after a month of not being able to go because our annual passes were blacked out for the month of July. We were excited to see what had changed since we've been and what menu options had changed. I was definitely disappointed that some of the food is no longer available and hope that it comes back when the crowds slow down. I finally got to ride the last ride that I had to ride in the park. It was awesome!! We hope you enjoyed this trip to Volcano Bay and we'll see you tomorrow with a new vid!

We did Volcano Bay 3 times during our holiday, the first 2 visits were with EPA so we were in by 0730 & had an hour or so before it got busy. The third visit was by far the best - 5:00 pm on a cloudy afternoon which meant loads of people leaving & shorter wait times. Love this place, cannot wait to visit it again next time we go to Orlando.

You hit the nail on the head. I've heard (from a team member) that the main reason behind the... "simpler" menus is that people were taking too much time trying to figure out what they wanted. Kind of ironic that when the park opened the eclectic menus were essentially a selling point because it wasn't traditional theme park food. Now they are back to traditional theme park food.

I have to honestly say, as much as I LOVE seafood, I cannot imagine ordering ahi tuna, any kind of sushi or shrimp on a hot summer Florida day from a fast ood counter at a theme park. I do hope they bring back your burger choices!!

On your first trip there were the frog lanterns on the bridge, then they were gone, then the menu changes and all these other things,... Wow. We had a great view of Volcano Bay from a volcano view room in the new tower at Cabana Bay recently. Volcano bay was packed every day!

We went to volcano Bay last week, the wave pool wasn't making any waves. And the faster lazy river had life jackets instead of tubes. Was fun!

Just missed you again Tim. Got there about 2pm and queues were still ridiculous. The rain cleared the park though at about 5 and wait times dropped massively. Agree with you on the drop out slides, best ever! Maybe we'll see you and Jen at some point this week😉

Looks like you had a similar experience to ours when we visited at the end of June. Crazy wait times everywhere! Hopefully when we come back again in a couple of years things will have calmed down and Universal have ironed out all those little issues.

Went to volcano bay last week. And around 4pm it rained like crazy for over an hour which cleared out the park. We luckily had a chair under an umbrella

Its alot easier to get in if you stay at cabana bay you dont have to wait any longer than 5 mins for bag check and i think yoi gwt in early but i wasnt up in time to go early so

What I loved about the slower lazy river is they have half rings with a little platform to sit on then lean back into ring, but as far as I could see they weren't available on faster river so couldn't go on that.

Sooo I have a question/comment/suggestion... For your theme park vlogs (especially Volcano Bay) would it be possible to put a graphic of the park map with a little Tim or Jen (maybe the ones from your logo) in a corner to mark where you are at certain points in the vlog, so we can see and have an idea where you are. You can even call it a Tim or Jen "Tracker" lol! I thought of it at 2:13 am laying in bed watching your new video obviously haha

Can't wait to see Volcano Bay again in a few years when all the kinks are straightened out. We went mid July (knowing how busy it would be), but we found that the wait times were impossible, and that we'd rather physically wait it out than do anything else. There's only so many times you can do the rivers, and the wave pool - it was impossible. Once our tapu-tapus buzzed, we still had a 25 minute wait for Krakatow. It was all a bit disappointing but that park is really promising :)

I am so thankful I went to universal on the first week of summer and it rained all week. It cleared out people so we could go on any ride at volcano bay. No waiting at all.

Hi Tim Went to Volcano bay on Tuesday . All the way from wales . Had a terrible time . Park was way to crowded and all rides had wait times of almost 240 mins . The maps are poor and the signage for the rides are very confusing . The fearless river is an accident waiting to happen as crowds of people fight for two few tubes . The tapoo system is confusing and large crowds were gathered around the staff who I felt pity for . We managed one ride . The following day we went to typhoon lagoon and had a brilliant day . So much better .

One of the things I was excited for when I went to Volcano Bay was the Bambu Burger and when I realized they removed it, I was quite disappointed. However the chicken nuggets and the honey mustard sauce was DELICIOUS

The green drop slide was my favorite it was so intense. Volcano Bay is such a great water park love it. But it is very confusing to get around the park.

I was right behind you before you got out of the lazy river, I accidently hit your foot as it was just so busy I couldn't stop or the people behind me would hit. I've just got back to the UK and was in Orlando for 2 weeks. Went to Volcano Bay and got on 2 slides in about 3 hours. We went home at like 12/1pm. Next day did Aquatica (Seaworld Water Park). Far more enjoyable experience. As we left aquatica it said it was at capacity but we never really waited a long time for any of the slides and everyone in the park got a sunlounger which made the day far more enjoyable than Volcano Bay.
