In today's vlog we check out of our Wilderness Lodge cabin and we're so sad to be leaving! We had the best stay and we're so happy to be able to cross this resort stay off our Disney bucket list! We end our stay with breakfast at Whispering Canyon, where we have the all you can eat skillets, Jackson had some delicious breakfast food from our skillets too. We loved everything we had at Whispering Canyon and we'll be back for another meal for sure! Then we head home and have some fun playtime with Jackson, he gives us some adorable giggles! We have dinner and end the night by watching Lovecraft Country. We highly recommend checking it out! We vlog a little more the next day and talk about our stay some more. We also show you our little mini haul of baby onesies we bought at the gift shop. We hope you enjoyed joining us on our staycation adventure! Have you tried the car sear in the middle of the back seat? That might give you a bit more room and its actually safer because it avoids injury in side impact accidents. I would still use the latch system personally. I dont beileve you can get a seat belt tight enough that you can try wrenching the seat side to side and it won't shift (you should be able to do that and it won't budge).

We were told putting it in the middle was more dangerous than putting it behind a seat especially if you got into an accident. It just kept the car seat more stable

It can be done. Just following the guidelines and being aware of your surroundings can do you more good than locking yourself up 24/7. I'm glad they are getting out.

Ah life with kids. I start getting ready almost 2 hours before I need to leave with my kids. By the time we have clean diapers, diaper bag set, snacks, toys, dogs let out, it seems to take FOREVER! Lol! So my pediatrician did stress that the longer you can leave your baby rear facing the better. Just because it says “up to 50lbs” doesn’t mean you need to switch him around. His legs may look like all squished but he’s fine. I didn’t flip my son’s carseat around till he was 2.5 years old. We have the Graco 4 in 1. It’s the only carseat he will need. I really want to stay at the cabins one day. They look so amazing! 😁 Hopefully in a few years we will be able to be DVC members and stay there.

I would recommend not waiting until he's 50 lbs to turn him forward. My 5 year old is 46 lbs. and average sized. You can (legally) face him forward after he turns one, and he'll be much happier and less squashed. ;) Loved your cabin review. Hoping to stay at the DVC Cooper Creek Villas one year.

It’s actually recommended now to keep them rear facing as long as possible, far past the age of two if height and weight are still within the car seat limits. Lots of studies show that it is MUCH safer to have then rear facing . I didn’t know and turned the seat at 2 ( CA law is 2) and shortly after the recommendations started saying that keep them rear facing longer .

The DVC section of the Poly is closer to the TTC. The building we stayed in (I can't remember the name) but it was closer to walk to the TTC than to the Great Ceremonial House. We call the end of the bread the booty bread.

Omg y’all, I had a dream the other night before I watched this vid that I WAS watching it and Jackson was waaaay bigger than he is now and I was all “wait did I miss a growth spurt or something?” And I realized it was like a year from now, and you were all on another Disney vacation stay. Idk, it just made me feel real positive about the future of everything for some reason. ^_^ Random/weird: I feel like Jackson gonna be a really big kid and big guy as he grows up. The reason britax recommends the seatbelt is because the car latch system is only rated for 40 lbs, so the heavier the car seat is the less you can actually use latch. Latch was invented to make installation easier, but now that car seats are holding heavier weights (yay!) car manufacturers really need to strengthen the latch system!

HI TIM AND JEN - I just looked it up and in ONE (1) Mickey Waffle (that is, in an entire Mickey waffle) there is 1/4 teaspoon of sugar. Very, very little sugar, in the grand scheme of things, especially when compared to a can of Coke, for instance. However, Tim, if you want Jackson to have NO SUGAR - then no sugar it is. (I admire that, BTW.) But if he were to eat a pinch or two of Mickey waffle, Jen, he would be getting very little sugar indeed. Love your channel! Love it! 💖💖💖

Time for suction cup bowls and plates that you can use at home and take with you wherever you go, so you can put Jackson's finger foods in it and later use with spoons and forks. Well forks will be awhile yet, lol. Loved this Staycation!

FUEL RODS... UPDATE - To swap for free - You need to add the Fuel Rod app then reach out to them to receive “Founder” level on your membership . Because you purchased a long time ago you automatically get Free swaps for life. Google it...someone’s law suit paved the way. Once I went through the process it took about 2 weeks before the status of my Membership level on the app changed to say “Founder”. Not sure if the machines at WDW are different from the DL machines. I am a west coast girl. 😉
