In today's vlog we head to Walt Disney World for Jackson's first time pin trading! We head to Disney's Grand Floridian for lunch at the Grand Floridian Cafe and then we explore the resorts pin trading boards. Afterwards, we head to the Contemporary Resort and then we end our adventure at Disney's Polynesian for pin trading and a dole whip! We hope you had fun hanging out with us today! It’s good to teach your child boundaries. It’s a good thing to tell them that they can trade their pins but not yours. Boundaries are a good thing at any age. They won’t learn if you don’t teach them and show them.

As a mom of avid pin traders (who are now adults), I recommend teaching Jackson to choose the pin he wants to trade from his lanyard before you get to the pin boards. As an avid pin trader myself, I suggest getting locking pin backs and using those on pins you're unsure about and/or don't want to trade.

A little tip: you can buy discounted Pins at the outlets to trade. We do this often when the pins are .99 or 1.99.

Pro Mommy tip - Leave your "good" pins at home. I actually carry a baggie in my park bag labeled "Keep" and the newly traded pins go right in there for safe keeping.

I never comment but had to today. Watching the pins Jen loved be traded away broke my heart, and based on the comments, I'm not the only one. I remember the video(s) when she got some of those. 😢 More than that...as a mom, I really feel like this would have been a great lesson in boundaries for Jackson. I love that little guy, but he's smart and after Tim offered "mommy's" pins, he never went back. Part of pin trading is giving up your pins for the new ones. Give Jackson the option to "not trade" if there isn't one he likes better than one he has instead of allowing him to choose someone else's. Allowing him to use her's instead of his sets a bad habit for the future in more than pin trading.

I think that's how a lot of people do it. They get the multi pin packs, keep the ones from the packs they like and trade the others away for different ones. I went to Disney in 2014 for a school trip and a couple of my classmates got Mickey and friends pin packs to trade in the parks.

We love pin trading at our house. The first time my kids pin traded I bought a bunch from Facebook marketplace. I just made sure I went through them to pull out any that didn't look authentic. My son (8) got his own beginner lanyard last last year and was so excited for his first trade. Seconds later he was in tears and the cast member gave him back his pin, let him keep the one he had traded for and gave him an extra pin to trade. Cast members are truly magical ❤

You're not supposed to throw the orange piece in Pop-Darts. That's the target marker. There are other rubber darts that are 2 sided that you throw at the board, trying to land closest to the orange target marker. Points are awarded based on how close to the target you land vs your opponent with cancelation scoring. It's quite fun. Normally played on a table but really can be played on any flat surface the darts can stick to.

I love to Pin Trade whenever I go to WDW here is a tip about Lanyard’s don’t bother wearing them because so so so so many people have lost pins in the parks. I know that from experience I lost two but what we do now is bring 2 baggy’s one to keeps then the other to trade. Also a new tip is Amazon has mystery lot pins you can get 20 to 100 Disney pins they have Disney, StarWars and Marvel! So I hope that I’ve helped with a few tips with you and other people

When my daughter first started pin trading we bought a bunch from the Disney discount store and let her trade those at first. It really helped that way she wasn't trading all my good ones. Once she traded most of them she was really being picky with which ones she would trade.
