Me too. I've always wanted to make a few of different sizes and styles and see how well they shoot. But definitely hand made. I want to do hand carved, of course, but also want to do spring steel arms on a hand carved center with wooden ends to string the bow string from, kind of a hybrid.

Hi Jim, I just loved this one! I love watching bows being made. Being close to Sherwood Forest, the home of Robin Hood we are lucky enough to have a few great bow makers here. Normally once a year they have a festival of craft people who use the wood from this famous forest. Hurdle fences, Bows both long and cross! It’s great to see! Thanks Jim, really loved seeing this video.Graham🏹🏹🇬🇧🇬🇧

Jim, thanks for your patience !!!! I needed this video !!!! Lol. Got kind of frustrated today. Took the bobcat and was moving the offcuts from my mill, blew a hydraulic line, was lucky to get them close to there pile. Got out to check which hose and fell to the ground from all the fluid everywhere. Get back to the house, sitting in Ranger, your video was on. I calmed right down listening intently !!! Thanks dude, you saved my sanity !!!!

Dear Jim, A most enlightening demonstration on how to make a bow. Sadly where I live I would have no opportunity to use one. Great to see you doing something new for a change; I hope you'll still have time to catch your Christmas turkey with it ( don't forget to shoot it right between the eyes for a clean kill!!!). All the very best for the festive season to you & all the family. Kind regards,

@@TheTradesmanChannel this is some new fangled approach I'd never heard of; you take 3" retired fire hose that'll hold air with a nipple in one end and use it to inflate and hold pressure against the laminates. Supposed to be idiot proof, we shall see :D

Howdy, Jim. Gotta say, that is coming together quickly, but looking great so far. What would you think about sycamore or black locust for a bow? It's what I have handy, and I'd like to try this project. Do you think either of those would make a decent bow, or 3 foot bow cross-bow?
