Sem dúvidas um lugar de sonho, mas o turista não conta com a menor orientação em inglês. Nenhum mapinha na parede de um bar ou algo assim. Não dá, não funciona enquanto estiver esse excessivo... "amadorismo". No Rio os estrangeiros já reclamam de poucos falarem inglês (moradores), imagina do jeito que está aqui. A sra. que os hospedou, o pessoal do trator e demais transportes, não tem a menor ideia da falta que isso está fazendo. Tá muito "aventura" para ser vendido como outros cenários naturais do Brasil. Já vi isso em outros lugares e me ofereci para escrever algumas orientações em inglês, de graça. O pior é que os caras parecem não entender ou ficam estranhamente... desconfiados. Esquisito !

October to May is the dry season in Lençois Maranhenses, which means there are no laggons there. The best time to go to Lençois is between June and September (during the rainy season).

You should walk the stretch from Maragogi to Porto de Galinhas. Full of fun, nature preserve, fishermen, watersports, palm trees, fabulous empty beaches and numerous pousadas and stops for refreshment.

@@kronop8884 Our problem is the low gdp per capita. We're not a low income country, but we're also not a high income country. It's a middle income nation, with safety issues in the slums areas (favelas). If we could fix that and get a something like a Spanish GDP per capita it would be perfect... And also the war on drugs needs to end. Due to the fact that drugs are illegal Latin America is so violent. Violence here comes from drug trafficking. So with a pro-market agenda and a drug legalization worldwide I think Brazil would be one of the best places to live on Earth. Unfortunately nowadays we're not. Such a waste...

hey Lindsey, what you guys have witnessed is the formation of low tide pools on coral reefs... If Alex had a chance to use the drone, you would see the whole spectacular reefs from above! But you just can see/ check it on low tide sea... Otherwise is just another regular, not so beautiful, beach .... This happens in several northweast beaches, but you guys should be attentive to the sea board, a board that have scheduled how high the tide will be. if it is near 0, the best vision of coral reefs and natural pools you will have. Higher the 0.6 you can not see the natural pools that much

Hi Alex, this flower isn't the substance to do the color of tapioca. This color is made by something else. This is a flower of Jambo's tree, also Jambo is a fruit. It's a dry fruit, see if you can try one there.

They hydrate the tapioca powder with the water used to cook beet (beetroot) so it gets this color. Also, spinach is used for the green version.

Yeah, but NEVER eat the nut straight from the fruit. It is extremely poisonous when it's raw. Only by cooking it through specific methods one may eat it safely. I never get tired of telling people this. This information should be more spread!

You have to go to Lençóis Maranhenses! It is a place in Brazil that foreigners hardly know, and it is a unique place!

The best time to visit Lençois Maranhenses is the May-August period, after the rain season, when the lagoons are still full. From September on, most of the lagoons will dry up, and their splendor and beauty decreases or disappears. The same applies to Lago Azul close to Jericoacoara

Maybe you should have visited Morro de São Paulo, than you would know a really beautiful place and worthy to show in your videos (not that Boipeba isn't beautiful, but it's not a 'touristic' place, as I've said). Flamingo Beach at Isla Culebra in Puerto Rico is a paradise too, and the beaches in Northern Peru at Mancora beautiful with good food. Next time plan to go there.

The pink stuff in 17:37 is from a tree called Jambeiro, the tree gives a fruit called Jambo, the fruit has a interesting flavor. The pink coloring of the tapioca is probably made of beet juice.

Hi! I'm brazilian and I'm following your travel along Brazil, I'm really enjoying your videos! In Bahia you should visit "Chapada Diamantina", which is a great place as well as this beaches in Bahia. Other greats places in Brazil are ”Chapada dos Veadeiros"in Alto Paraíso de Goiás nearby of Brasilia, where you can see amazing waterfalls and stunning natural landscapes and eco trails! "Chapada das Mesas" in Maranhão and "Ilha Grande" in Rio de Janeiro are great places to visit as well. Good travel!
