This is one of the best cruise ship tour videos that we have seen. We really enjoyed the tour, and the bits of humor spread throughout. We loved that you included things that we would never have considered without watching this video, such as checking out the ceilings. We laughed when you talked about the privacy issues for the hot tubs lol. This video really has us more excited for our upcoming Sailabration cruise next week! Thank you so much for the great, thoughtful, and lighthearted content. Very refreshing & helpful. We really hope that the friends we meet on our upcoming cruise have the same positive attitude that you both do! Excellent video!

Excellent Video, if all goes well I will be on the Mardi Gras March 5th for Carnival’s 50th Birthday Sailabration, With all of the multiple places to eat, I may never make it to the dining room. I will definitely need to bring the pants with the elastic waistbands. 😹 I love the fact that there are multiple bars around the ship to get something to drink, and lots of places to listen to musical acts, and lots and lots of places to stretch out and relax both inside and outside. I can see myself having a hard time deciding what to do and where to go every night. I’m glad I booked an inside cabin, because I don’t see me spending much time in there. Thanks for putting together this comprehensive tour of the Mardi Gras. 😺

I've been on the Mardi Gras twice now. There are things I really like, and things that I DO NOT. I do like having more eating venues. Although there are still long lines at the coffee shop, I found there are a couple other options to get a Latte. That's nice. I like that the bathrooms have auto nightlights, and so do the closets. I do like that there are more USB and electrical outlets in the rooms. Especially nice is the USB outlets on each side of the bed. That is about all I can think of that is better on this ship than say "the Vista class ship". Now for the things I don't like. The walking track is much narrower, which does not allow for slow walkers and actual joggers to get along well together. There isn't a library on this ship. There aren't any lights on the balconies, so, if you like to sit out at night on your balcony, you will have to do so in the dark. The rooms are much smaller. Although the glass door shower is nice, in order to do that, the rest of the bathroom is much smaller with less 'good space" to put your toiletries. On the Vista class, there are 3 shelves on each side of the mirror. My husband would take one side, and I would take the other. On the Mardi Gras, there is only one set of shelves. There aren't any computers or printer on the ship. I guess for us "old school" people who like to print out our boarding pass .... those days are gone. No, the service people will not do it for you. In the buffet area, the plates are smaller, so, a person has to go back and forth to their table to get different items. On the Vista class ships, the plates are more like trays. I can put my salad bowl on the tray along with other food items. The gift shops are not all together, and they are pretty much "all high end" shops. The Havana area is not such a big deal on the Mardi Gras. The special area is smaller. There isn't any hot tubs, and just one small cold pool. Let's face it, when it comes to cold pools, only children can handle those, and the people in the Havana area are mostly adults. Would I sail on the Mardi Gras again .... Maybe. For now, I'm going back to the Vista class size.
@TheTravelScouts2 жыл бұрын
Hi Laura. I think these are all great observations. That walking/jogging track is REALLY small for sure! I actually never noticed the buffet plates but that has sparked my curiosity and now I am going to have to go back and look at old footage to compare plates! lol. And yes, the Havana area is not even comparable to the Vista class! Night and day difference! But I did like the serenity area better on Mardi Gras. Thanks for all the great info you added!

I would prefer the dream class over vista but specifically magic or breeze dream probably has the most changes in one class dream the simplest magic first ship with sky course and all that stuff except the basketball court on the spirit breeze has the movie theater
@lauramiller79942 жыл бұрын
@@ElloImNoodle The dream class of Carnival ships is also a good size ship. I have been on smaller ships than the dream class, but prefer the dream class and larger. Although the smaller ones are more ornate in the decor or the ships, I like having the extras floor to roam (on the dream class, that would be the 5th floor).

We LOVED ChiBang...and once while we were there the dragon came through (it was around 8 PM). They also had my favorite cocktail, The Red Dragon!! We received a card from Carnival for a free drink package, so we are planning to use it for the Mardi Gras again! :)

@@TheTravelScouts It was really cool!! If you go back on, they can probably tell you when this happens (we loved it!!). We are looking at booking in January of next year, so I asked when the free option was over and they said you have to pay for ChiBang now but we will definitely go back.
