Anyone remember when James Napier played Conner McKnight in Power Rangers: Dino Thunder?

I do and I caught that season on a rerun at the time of first discovering Power Rangers.

I'm loving these interviews. I'm 30 now and I can still remember the first time I've seen the show when I was around 10 years old. I actually only watched the entire show via Vimeo when it came out in HD.

i hope he goes to a Morphicon sometime with austin and other former rangers, that would be amazing i know he is a great director but most people know him for Power Rangers.

Something that Ray touched on near the end is how the fans of the show aged just like everyone involved did... I feel like sometimes the actors forget that we grew older just like them, and had our lives go in different directions and we just still enjoy the show the way they enjoy things from their youth. I might be wrong, but listening to the podcasts, I sometimes feel like the actors still think of us as teens, the way it was when The Tribe was still being filmed. Not sure where I'm going with this or if I'm totally off - just a thought.

James is why I wanted to watch this show since '04 because I watch Power Rangers. The second is more cast went on to do Power Rangers and made me want to watch it even more from '03-'09 when they appeared in PR. And because of recent events, I finally started to binge the show, currently in final 5th season. I don't know why season 5 is not on Tubi or VUDU, and only on your KZbin. I know James became a director and is likely very busy but I'm really surprise and happy you got him to do this interview and it just isn't him but most of the main cast that you were able to interview that retired from acting that surprised me. I hope one day he'll be a part of the Power Rangers convention once he feels like it's the right time to meet his fans. I like how James (Jay) and Antonia (Trudy) were in 2 eps of Dino Thunder in '04 and Dwayne Cameron (Bray) and Beth Allen (Amber) when they were together again in Operation Overdrive in '07. And I hope to see a continuation of this series or an alternate universe take of the show. My ideal would include past PR casts like, have Jay tribe ( DinoThunder casts with Tom who plays RAM again), Trudy tribe (Mystic Force casts), Bray tribe (Operation Overdrive casts with Amber), KC tribe (RPM casts), Gel from S5 ( Jungle Fury casts), Pony Joe from S3 tribe (SPD, Ninja Steel, Beast Morphers casts), Kandy from S4 tribe (Ninja Storm casts,) and ones that werent in PR could be their own tribe, and Moz tribe (The Mosquitos including Dee) set in an alternative universe. Also wondering if Taika Waititi is being planned for an interview if it already hasn't happen yet lol? I didn't know that was him until that clip i saw here on youtube weeks ago before watching the actual episode.Thank you.

I love what James says about social media and people’s lives, I am so so guilty of comparing, more so since I had my children, but it’s so true it’s a portrayal of a persons life and a lot of the time it’s fake, we are so quick to document and post the good things that happen to us, but so many suffer in silence when things are not going well because we don’t want to post negative things!

So far it sounds like all of the cast would be keen to come back for a sequel. Is that really a happening thing? With Ray, James and Tom to write it I think it could be amazing. I can tell you now, if there was any such thing I'd never ask for anything ever again from you tribe world xD I'd die happy

Wonderful interview as always. I really appreciated how the notion of privacy and being careful with social media was covered here (as well as on the topic of how comparisons can be detrimental to the creative soul and creative drive). Not a lot of actors have the courage to admit this; therefore, I thank Mr Robertson for his honesty in regards to this topic, for it is important to be careful with self promotion, and it is important to talk more about the addiction of social media (especially since there are people that reveal too much about themselves). There is too much superficiality in the world, but it is nice to hear that some people like to search within themselves in order to find their calling and creative spirit. I wish you guys the very best and thank you for working together on the unique project of the Tribe, I will always treasure this show and I am thankful to the staff of this youtube channel for providing all free episodes here on youtube. Writing from San Diego, I always wished that the show could have been sold in a DVD format that could be purchased for USA, but they were never manufactured that way. So thank you for making the show accessible for us, here in America!

This was so much fun to listen to, very relaxed and insightful. I love how enthusiastic James still is about the Tribe and about his work in general. Really inspiring! Imagine being a fly on the wall when James, Tom and Ray get together in the vinyard after COVID is over... Also - I would LOVE a "Purely Ray" podcast, where he just goes through some questions we all have about production, behind the scenes bits, storylines etc. That tidbit about the tribal markings and Abe Messiah was so intriguing! I actually looked up "abe messiah" the other day to find out what it means exactly and it's one of the few questions that Google won't answer for you. An episode of the podcast where Ray just deep dives into the lore and universe he created for The Tribe would be amazing - one can dream.

Ray did an interview just before Christmas, but we might try to get him to do another one where it purely is a Q&A because it's a good point that he obviously has a wealth of inside knowledge and trivia about anything and everything to do with The Tribe. #KTDA kzbin.info/www/bejne/b4aym36gnK2Unac

These Informations are gold for his Wikipedia Entry. Finally something. It was such a mess and I am correcting them now for the german Wiki. There it was said he was in a relationship with an author and had a kid in 2008. Seems, that was wrong. Anyways, awesome Interview :) I only missed seeing him, while laughing.

Even if James Napier wasn't into acting and was more into directing film and writing why would he still audition and act in the last 2 part episode of ninja storm and the entire season of Dino Thunder, both of the crossover episodes with spd if he knew that he was going to act in front of the camera. But honestly I can see where he's coming from that he doesn't like acting on camera Especially when it comes to being pressured and dealing with anxiety where he enjoyed doing directing and writing more. But it still didn't made any sense why would he still picked up the the acting for power rangers. But I still enjoy his words of wisdom doing what you like to do and staying true to who you are as a person
