Also, if you are microing the gunships if you hit the land button as soon as you see a jet headed your way you can often avoid the initial jet pass, or several if they are not paying attention. You can sometimes dodge an AA missile shot the same way, though they are much harder to dodge. At one point I had 2 f-14s and an F-16 tied up flying around an Mi-8 that had dropped recon and was waiting for the cv to be spotted. Once the jets left he went and got the cv. Worth the risk.

I noted you left yourself open on the right to the same thing you were doing on the left. I evidently was playing someone who watched your command vehicle placement video as they had their command sitting right there for my Rangers who landed in a helo sneak around to the right. Inserting special forces or recon to spot for arty is a great roll for cheap helos, and if all else fails they can be sent in to attack a lonely command unit.

Helicopters with rockets also make very good mobile fire support to break up attacks, sorta like flying artillery which was soviet doctrine

I generally use em to circle around my main battle line of tanks, and whenever they find the biggest threat, I have then harass them until the tanks get in range, then I'll send them ahead to harass reinforcements

When the beta came around they were planning to role out units by allowing you to unlock them with command stars. They gave us all of the units unlocked. The whole unit unlocking thing proved to be rather unpopular so they simply removed it. But they left the command stars in place for another month or two.

TMC So... Sorry if it's a dumb question but: Is there hope they'll give us command stars back? (I don't speak english very well, so I'm not sure that i understood everything right way ) :)

Command stars were used for purchasing units. They just give us all the units now. So nope, they'll never come back.

You need to select USA, when creating a Deck. It will unlock USA's prototypes.
