Pre-hating a show and blindly bad mouthing it just because it has some female characters is one of the most moronic rhetorics our society has come up with in decades. Bigotry is out of control at the moment.

I feel like the biggest issue there is with the episodes is the editing, especially with the endings. I feel like the endings don’t consider the rollout of the episodes. Ep 1’s ending was abruptly edited as if it were for a week-long cliffhanger. Ep 2’s ending was edited like a Marvel end-credit scene which was just unfitting. Ep 3’s ending was actually well done and the perfect place to end. Ep 4’s ending was edited as if Ep 4 and Ep 5 were dropping together (which I actually think would’ve been best, similar to The Bad Batch’s S3 release schedule with double episodes). I think the ending of Ep 4 was just frustrating and the easiest solution would be to end the episode right after Mae says “He’s here,” then you see the sunlight fade and the episode ends, it would be fitting since the episode is literally titled “Day.” Then the next episode would pick up exactly where it left off without ruining the tension and momentum created by that final scene.

New theory just came to me since I saw a tweet that said “i wonder if the marionette quality to his movements has any thematic relevance :)” regarding the “master” which has me thinking.. Qimir is possessed by Koril which is why he doesn’t really need clear vision through the mask and the eye we see peaking through the slit looks black not because of the lighting but because he’s possessed and he’s indebted to her and allows her to possess him.. This explains why Qimir’s personality seems genuine but he’s also suspicious.. he’s not actually himself while he takes on the role of the “master” This is an extra safety precaution so Mae has 0 clue who the true master is.. Also the snap of the head is the same way Kelnaaca moves his head while possessed fighting Torbin in the trailers.. and Kelnaaca also had those white symbols in his home.. so maybe he was also being used.. 😦 Qimir literally said that the master COLLECTS PEOPLE- like puppets?? tools? If this is true, it would be so cool and creepy. It also makes me think of Kankuro from Naruto who uses threads of chakra to control puppets. This is so similar to how the witches use the “Thread” and manipulate people with it. That tweet made everything click for me, it all makes so much sense (if I’m right). I knew Koril was involved, I knew the master wasn’t ACTUALLY the master, but I didn’t know if he was an apprentice or rival lord.. this puppeteer storyline makes everything add up. Qimir will probably die and the Sith’s trail will run cold and the Jedi will assume it was just a dark sider, nothing more. But I do hope the story continues in the final episodes and shows Koril’s perspective as a Sith (assuming she aligns as a Sith) Maybe she knows Tenebrous? Or some other Sith? I do know Leslye Headland mentioned Darth Kreia/Traya a LOT, so I think Koril might be canon’s version of Kreia in the High Republic rather than the Old Republic which explains all the lightsaber throwing from the trailers.

I've talked a bit about that theory on reddit and such but yeah I agree if she uses the helmet or something to possess people and puppet string control them, thatd be the sickest thing ever. If it worked on the dead, even better. It could be the corpse of mother anniseya under the mask right now or something, I really hope the puppet theory is the case

Yup, really enjoying this series 👍🏻

I hope it IS Quimir!

I do think Qimir is the master, however, I’m even more sure now that the master is a red herring. I think Mae’s master is just the apprentice. The master’s hand mannerisms are like Qimir, but I think Koril will be the actual master. But idk.. I’m still guessing..

Im gonna be honest the last part when he lights up his red lightsaber, I felt a tiny little bit of Star wars feeling there and then it was gone. This show aint great in my opinion.

Its definitely less action oriented that most Star Wars and more mystery unfolding in a new never before seen era in live action. I like them trying new things, we've been stuck in the same time period with tatooine appearing in every show, this new stuff is working for me
