Brilliant! This was the first dance at my wedding! Just recently taken up the trumpet after I gave up 30 years ago! Would love to get to a stage where I can play this!

Thanks! It depends on the song. For this one, it came on a play-along CD that I bought here: www.amazon.com/Hits-Movies-Musicals-Instrumental-Solos/dp/1470632977/ref=sr_1_2?crid=2CTOL46ENC6FM&keywords=movies%2C+musicals%2C+tv+trumpet&qid=1658255850&sprefix=movies%2C+musicals%2C+tv+trumpet%2Caps%2C625&sr=8-2

You have great tone and sound and I love the pieces play. do you have any tips to improve playing because I want to make all state this year in band and even though you are most likely busy if you have the time to for any tips, I would really love it? also keep up the great work I love the content and everything you are doing on your channel!

Thank you very much! I guess I would say to just keep practicing :) When it comes to all state, just make sure you're practicing all the stuff you'll be asked to play on it. Get some sight reading experience. Maybe there's some stuff in your method books you haven't played, or you could ask your band director if you could play through some trumpet parts of band pieces he hasn't handed out before, etc. Also make sure you know your music terms. When I made all-state, those were gimmes to me. But some people still didn't know them. Those are easy points. Just a tip for the actual audition day: don't get caught up in the playing theatrics in the practice room going on around you. I remember going through my warm up and everything in that room while hearing trumpet players having high note contests and stuff. And then I would end up beating them on the actual audition.
