Important correction: there are not three types of demons like angles and three types like humans, this is a mistranslation of the gemara. Rather there is only one type (or at least the gemara is talking there about one type, which is the most common one), and saying that in 3 "aspects" they are like angles; that they have wings and fly, the third I forgot (can't bother now to find the place where he is talking about it in this video). And in 3 "other aspects" the same demons are like humans; regarding that they eat drink, and excrete toilet waste, and multiply! The gemara is in מסכת חגיגה, if I still remember the source, after learning it so long ago.

Unless one has taught teens in the USA, they don't realize that the constant comments and questions indicates they are "fully engaged," and learning. I wanted to smack half of the first teen class I taught. The wise Rabbi knows this is Derech Ha'Aretz, which is why he spares them the shebet, (rod) or "Mahbet," LoL. 🤣 Its not Jerusalem.

Rabbi, what about King Daveed when he danced naked and when Michaal rebuked him , he said, " It was before Hashem." Also, 1-Samuel :19-23 tells that Prophet Samuel had a school of prophets and when King Saul came among those prophets, Rooach Qadosh came upon him and he took off his clothes as well, and lay down NAKED all that day and all that night. Some say that he removed his royal robe, not all clothes. But removing a jacket cannot make someone naked.. NAKED means no clothes at all, and it was before Hashem.. So what about this modesty?

+Arif John "A NAKED eye can't see infra-ray",then I assume you will interpret that it needs putting clothes on your eyes to see infra-ray. King Sau remained unclothed"(of the kingship) means (not as a king but an ordinary person, humbled before Hashem), if you read it just literally, unfortunately the book is not for the simple minded. Regarding King David, he was girded with linen tunic, dancing with all strength, humbled himself as a servant before Hashem. As we know, even a ramp to the altar must be made of earth, in order not to expose Kohen's nakedness. I don't know where your knowledge came from, but I am sure you are not a fool, even a fool would not agree to dance naked on the street. then what made you think you are far better than the king, the perfect tzaddik David Hamelech? So what about this modesty,? the real question should be what about the modesty in your mind/question? if a person wants to err, Hashem will let him err.

If the commentaries say and chazal say that it means they only took of their jackets, or their royal garments, then that's what it means, and if you don't believe, you are not believing in the oral Torah, they know better then us what the Torah means by "naked" in this particular case!
@dumbledor228 жыл бұрын
Actually the reason we have to be modest even when alone, is not because of the demons and ghosts around us, but because God indeed is everywhere and sees us. Of course he can see through our clothes anyway, but that doesn't matter, for when you are physically naked, you show disrespect to him!
