@stuartt4552 жыл бұрын
It actually happened here in South Australia two months ago. A young woman popped into a shop to buy some bread, not intending to be long so she left the car running and the baby strapped in the car seat. Guy parks in the space next to her, gets out the vehicle (which is believed to be stolen) and sees the car next to him still running so he takes a quick look inside, goes back to the car he arrived in, grabs a jacket and a bag and decides to drive off in the woman's car. She comes out the shop just as he's backing out and getting ready to drive off, unsuccessfully tries to stop him so she goes back in the shop to call police. Car and baby are found just over two hours later, mother is absolutely distraught the whole time and no doubt blaming herself for her silly error but it shows how quickly it can happen.

I think the family gathering was the funniest. Her response to it being too cold to dig her family up from their graves was hilarious. That comment alone made me burst out laughing. @@MsJimmysgirl I've had friends throw parties about nachos. Literally, just a party so we can hang out and eat different kinds of nachos. It doesn't matter what 'reason' you have for an event, even if it's a reason that seems stupid, when someone you love throws a party and tells you "hey I don't see you very often and I'd like to see you at this event". It's not about the party, or the theme it's about reaching out for connection. It's about the fact that a person you love wanted to see you, and you decided that it wasn't important to make time for them.
@CAP1984622 жыл бұрын
I’ll grant you it was a witty rejoinder. That friend was a real bell end for making her friend swallow her boasting about her family and throwing a purple fit the one time her friend clapped back, not cool. The gender reveal party people have some issues. The mother is not cool with her daughter’s choice despite saying it. Calling it a satirical gender reveal party made sense to her friend group, but her mother isn’t in that group or of that generation. There had to be some other excuse to throw a party, go online and look up a “this day in history,” and call it a party commemorating some event. Almost any day of the calendar has something to commemorate.

I walked away to use the restroom. When I came back my husband was chatting with someone he knew and our son was walking around the area by himself in the crowded store. I calmly took his hand and walked away to shop. My husband had his back to us so he never noticed. At some point he realized our son was gone and freaked out. I heard the Amber alert announced for a missing child. Yes, he was pissed at me that day but I told him I could have been anybody and this is why you watch your child. Our son is now 22. @LadyAurian2 жыл бұрын
Yeah that was my first thought too, that even if you wanna be naive enough to think kids never get kidnapped, there's still the fact that it overheats. Ain't no parents with dead kids to forgotten in a car that planned for that to happen, it's because they forget or think something will be quick and it's not and they forget that time is ticking and they come out to a dead child. Just no, do not leave your kids in the car.

The woman that couldn't be bothered going to her daughter's get together because she was too busy, and obviously has no sense of humor, should be grateful that she has a daughter that wants to spend time with her. People can be gone in an instant. I regret not seeing my mother more often when I could have. The woman that left her baby in the car is lucky that it was her husband that took the baby. She needs to watch some videos of people pleading for the return of their stolen children. I have a relative that used to leave her babies in the car all the time while she ran in to go shopping. Another relative happened upon her car one day with her baby inside and called the police to report a child left alone in the car. She also would go bum cigarettes from the neighbors and stay to chat while her baby was sleeping. She did it one day and had left a pan of candy cooking on the stove that caught on fire while she was gone. Thank God she came back before the house caught on fire. I applaud the woman that gave her nephew the game. I would have been livid if my husband used emergency money for a game.

I seriously thought I had been robbed. He handed my wallet back to me and told me that it was a bad habit and that I could have been robbed just that quickly. yes I was Pissed that he thought he had to " teach me a lesson" but the lesson stuck and to this day I am thankful. I GUARANTEE that the wife won't leave that child unattended in the car again. He is not the a-hole . she is. She may not like being taught a lesson , but she won't forget it either.

Doesn’t have to be Reddit but I’d love in general to see you discussing more scenarios like this. Or maybe just a really crazy Would You Rather episode 😂

I am incredibly thankful for my Irish gallows sense of humor. It kept me sane when my Mother died. This was great! DO MORE PLEASE!

This was great. I can never resist AITA posts and I couldn't click on this fast enough. Plus, no one had to eat a bazillion Scoville level pepper. :)

I want to be friends with the woman who responded with, "It was too cold to dig everyone up out of their graves." That's it, you're a LEGEND.

The last one, I am glad the dad didn't go home- it would have wasted the police`s time and resources.

He missed the "hide in the backseat and surprise her dumb ass" option. That would have worked, too.

Leaving a baby in a car like that is almost certainly illegal.

I think that the people with the PS5 have more problems than the PS5. There seems to be little communication there.

With the thing where the father took the kid to prove a point: my mom did a similar thing at Disney when my aunts were watching me. They kept walking ahead of me and not watching me when I was like 4 years old. So to prove a point to them after telling them multiple times to watch me while I was in their company, when they took me out to do something, she waited then tailed along after us. Once she saw they weren't watching me, she pulled me back so they couldn't see me or her and watched as they panicked. Before things could get bad with them calling security or the cops, she came out like "THAT'S why you need to watch her." They listened lol
