Its not just that, its the fact that for the toa of mata nui, and much of the enemies found in mata nui, their names are based on their element/color. TAhu, GAli, etc.

Its a stretch but it's justifiable since the Mortan word "Ga" translates at water not blue and water isnt always blue. so depending on what the last part of her name means it could actually be a justified name.

I am looking at my sets right now and they dont make that sound from the gears. The sound comes from the head pieces (the fins on Gahdok and the long black tube things on Cahdok) hitting the neck. The small gear in the back of the head turns along the stationary one. If it is simply sliding then you must have the alignment wrong.

For the record, those gears are grinding because the feature is being executed wrong. The big gear is actually a lock to hold the head in certain positions - you can lower the head, which allows you to open the jaw, and then when you put the head back the gear locks the jaw in an open "roaring" position. The head is supposed to be down like that for the feature, so that the jaw can open without being affected by the lock. Either that or I misread the directions and somehow managed to fix it, in which case nevermind.

They were originally spider like (there's even Bahrag spider instructions), however, it proved to difficult to make them both big spiders and Lego decided two godzilla looking beast would do the job.

I like to think that the bohrok do indeed share some shape aspects with the queens. Short, possibly considered stumpy arms; heads that can lunge forward for a bite or headbutt attack; round-ish profile to an extent

The gears on my Cahdok have started to derail whenever I use the function so I advise for anyone interested in this set to be a bit gentle if you're planning to play with them a lot.

We had two, one was a hen, one was a rooster. the rooster was too mean so he ended up on the dinner plate. We also had two buff orpingtons but our dog killed the rooster when it was still young. So now we have 2 hens. Were gonna get more next year.

I believe the gear grinding issue can be fixed by finding some way to lessen the wobbling parts the mobile gear is attached to. Having one stationary gear that will never spin isn't uncommon at all in real-world engineering- to fix "gear slipping" is what you're looking for I believe.

I think the grinding concerns are a little blown out of proportion. The only thing actually keeping those two gears in contact is a rubber band. When the head retracts, the smaller gear just kinda lightly skips over the teeth of the large gear. And besides, if the large gear wasn't immobilized, then you wouldn't get that cool biting action at the very end of the lunge.

This is a 5 year late response but it's simple. The dinosaurs that evolved to be smaller and more bird like, archeopteryx for example, survived the extinction, and through evolution and diversity branched off into the thousdans of species we see today. There's a whole timeline and record of the species discovered and you can easily research them.

The gear grinding is pretty unfortunate and annoying, I'm not certain that it would (reasonably) wear the gears only because the force is being transferred to the elastic bands (path of least resistance) I can only imagine the wear would be after tens of thousands of uses and negligable at that, just my opinion though, I still think Muaka/Kane-Ra (and my moc Renemi shadow cat) have a much more elegant approach. Also the "game" function doesn't drop the lift arms out, rather they shoot through a gap in the trigger, locking it and hints locking out the biting function of the opponent!! This I like far better then Muaka dropping it's arm.. Whatever that does..
