Love the sound of that stroke but I don’t see it fitting in my old timey style I’m aiming for. Listening to you and learning from you is always a blessing! Maybe one day I’ll try the classic music. 🎻❤️

It’s true, you don’t often see this technique in fiddle tunes! Luckily there are plenty of other fun bowings & techniques for that style 😃

Your right hand, wrist and forearm drop below the video. How are you doing such rapid bow direction changes? Are you using your fingers (a very rapid colle?), wrist, forearm, or perhaps a combination?

A few words about bow quality wouldn’t go amiss. Better bows minimize needed effort. That’s why a great bow is not cheap. What bow are you using? Would be interesting to do this exercise with cheaper bows to illustrate the value of a good stick.
