With bands there is a little different stability requirement and center of mass changes a bit too. Especially heavier bands change this skill too much. Might be worth trying Half Straddle with very light band or something similiar. I would also suggest getting stronger Overhead Press, don't have to be standing version. HSPU can work too but as you know it is way harder to progressively overload long term. I am not a planche expert by any means but wanted to give you some ideas.

hspu is way better than OHP. because the forward leaning raises confidence for planche (wich has primary a leaning component)..main problem with OHP is the strong mid delt involvement.

More advanced Tuck! I hate it but it seems the way to go to build strength and progress rather than solely depending on resistance bands..

Hey man, can you train the planche every day? Maybe one day planche one day handstand pushup? Is this realistic volume?

Can you military press more than your bodyweight easily? And it sounds like you needed to try a new coach

As you said it yourself your lower body is heavy and that's gonna make it extremely difficult to achieve planche and if you achieve it you will never really have a good level. That's literally the number one thing that's super important and that is holding you back. I would consider trying to lose weight because the impact is hugeee

1. Using bodyweight progressions instead of relying on banded work. 2. Prehab exercises. Favourite one being to encourage more serratus involvement.

I think with this logic, weighted dips should be even more "top" but we know alone that is simply not the case for most.
