I was told you couldn’t print in black if colour ink was empty but couldn’t understand why. Just googled and it said depends on the brand. Something to do with printheads 🤷‍♀️ hp allows it if you remove the empty colour cartridge. Might be worth a try ?

That's interesting Barb, I hadn't heard that. The reason probably is that they want to sell more ink cartridges!! 🤔🙄I did go and try it, but it still didn't print anything. I think the thing is so old the ink has dried up!

Did you send anything to the printer for printing from computer or phone before asking to print, if not you will only get a blank sheet.

Where do you take all the scrap to to cash in? I think I saw on a previous video you had drums full. Probably not worthwhile moneywise for just disposing my own household stuff I guess.

I save up good scrap until I have a nice paying load to sell to a scrapyard in Melbourne. It's a bit of a drive, so I want it to be worthwhile. Most local transfer stations will take scrap metal - but they don't pay for it!

I totally agree Ed! The trouble is that they make the replacement ink cartridges way too expensive. I'm sure that's just a plan to sell more new printers! 🙄
